M4A1-S | Glitched Paint (Field-Tested)
The M4A1-S | Glitched Paint (Field-Tested) is a Restricted rifle skin — a multicolored, glitch-inspired paint pattern on the silenced M4, here with a touch of honest wear. Field-Tested is the most common way to own the finish and its usual value sweet spot.
Design
The look is pure controlled chaos: glitch-inspired digital paint strokes laid down as a multicolored, pixelated pattern that wraps the rifle in corrupted color. A Valve-crafted concept, it comes with a playful in-game line to match: "Please return to display after use."
M4A1-S | Glitched Paint (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
On the 0.00–0.67 float scale, Field-Tested lands in the middle. The finish picks up light scratching along the edges and high-contact areas, but the busy multicolored pattern absorbs it well, so the glitchy color still reads clearly. This is the grade most players default to — the balance point between looks and price.
M4A1-S | Glitched Paint Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the blue grade. Positioned two tiers beneath Covert among the standard weapon grades, it's a mid-high rarity: common enough to find easily, uncommon enough to feel a step up.
M4A1-S | Glitched Paint Case and Collection
Glitched Paint comes from The Radiant Collection, released together with the Spring Forward update in March 2025. Within that set the Restricted tier lands around 15.98% of the time, making this one of the more accessible finishes to pull — and, the collection having been out a while, most copies now come off the market.
M4A1-S | Glitched Paint Patterns
There's a single multicolored abstract paint pattern here, applied the same way to each copy, with no phase variants to track down the way a Doppler forces you to. Wear and float, not paint placement, are what set individual copies apart.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak variant of this finish doesn't exist — no kill-counter edition was ever produced. Neither is there a Souvenir version, and the reason is mechanical: Souvenir weapons drop only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this skin's collection has never featured as a Major drop.
M4A1-S | Glitched Paint Price
Field-Tested is the value heart of the range — cheaper than the cleaner grades while keeping most of the visual punch, which is a big reason it's the most-traded exterior. And the finish sits in budget range for the M4A1-S to begin with. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested copy look worn?
Only a little. Field-Tested adds light scratching around the edges, but the multicolored, pixelated pattern is so busy that the wear blends in rather than standing out. From a normal viewing distance the glitchy color still reads loud and clear, which is why this grade is such a popular pick.
Is Field-Tested the best value grade?
For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Minimal Wear and Factory New but keeps nearly all the visual impact thanks to the busy pattern hiding wear. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind heavier scuffing.
Is the design too busy for a serious loadout?
It depends on your taste. Glitched Paint is intentionally loud and multicolored, so it suits a playful, colorful loadout more than a tactical one. Pair it with neutral gear and it becomes the centerpiece; pair it with equally busy skins and things can start to clash.
