The M4A1-S | Nightmare (Field-Tested) is a Classified rifle skin with a blue-and-cyan wash and a frightening nocturnal figure in the paint, here with a little honest wear. Field-Tested is the most popular way to own it — recognizable looks for well under the higher grades.
Design
Nightmare's look is dream-horror through and through: a frightening nocturnal visitor surfaces from cool blue and cyan tones, a custom paint job that mixes a dark aesthetic with modern design. The community artist Apel made it, and it comes with a fitting in-game line: "Next time set an alarm."
M4A1-S | Nightmare (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
With the finish covering the full 0.00–1.00 float scale, Field-Tested lands in the middle band. Light scratching shows up along the edges and high points, but the dark blue base absorbs it well, so the figure and the cyan tones still stand out at a glance. This is the grade most players picture — the sweet spot between appearance and price.

Only mildly. The dark blue base hides scratches well, so a Field-Tested copy reads as intact to most eyes, with light edge wear on close inspection. The cyan tones and the nocturnal figure aren't washed out by the float, so the skin's signature horror detail always comes through.
Is Field-Tested the best value grade of the Nightmare?
