M4A1-S | Master Piece (Battle-Scarred)
The M4A1-S | Master Piece (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified rifle skin wearing the silenced M4's vibrant wildstyle graffiti in its most weathered condition. It's the lowest-cost way into a grail-tier finish, trading surface condition for the cheapest entry price.
Design
Custom-painted with wildstyle graffiti, the Master Piece is Valve's take on street-art excess — vibrant color and abstract motifs layered across the body. The graffiti-forward look is loud and expressive, a clear break from the game's tactical patterns.
M4A1-S | Master Piece (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
The finish uses the full float scale, and Battle-Scarred sits at the top of it, close to 1.00. This is an uncapped skin, so its Battle-Scarred copies do reach the harshest end of the wear range — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, with color thinned in many spots. The graffiti's density is what keeps the design readable even here.
M4A1-S | Master Piece Rarity
Rarity: Classified — the pink tier, positioned one step under Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades. It's a genuinely uncommon grade to pull.
M4A1-S | Master Piece Case and Collection
The Master Piece sits in The Overpass Collection, which launched with Operation Breakout in June 2014. It's a souvenir finish rather than a case skin, entering circulation via Overpass Souvenir Packages — the earliest was the ESL One Cologne 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package. The Classified tier drops about 3.2% of the time (an odds figure shared across the tier), leaving supply fixed and the market as the main source.
M4A1-S | Master Piece Patterns
Every copy prints the graffiti the same way, so there's no random pattern variation on this finish — no paint seed to compare, no "blue gem" to hunt for. Wear and float are all that tell one copy from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak edition to be found. StatTrak weapons originate from cases, and since the Master Piece only ever appeared in souvenir packages, a kill-tracking version was never created. The Souvenir edition is real, though — it comes out of Major-tournament Overpass Souvenir Packages, and the best copies show off tournament autograph stickers and gold nameplates.
M4A1-S | Master Piece Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish — the entry-level way to run the design for players who prize the look over the condition. That said, this is a grail-tier M4A1-S, so even its lowest grade sits above plenty of other skins. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Master Piece still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing and paint loss, the dense, colorful graffiti keeps the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting obvious wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the artwork's identity — the abstract motifs still carry it.
Does the Battle-Scarred grade reach full wear?
It does. Unlike float-capped finishes, the Master Piece runs the full float scale up to 1.00, so its Battle-Scarred copies reach the roughest end of the range. The graffiti's density softens the visual impact, but you'll see clear damage across the body at this grade.
Which gloves work with a worn Master Piece?
The same color logic applies at any grade: the bold graffiti pairs well with vivid or street-art-styled gloves that echo its palette, while neutral white or gray gloves let the artwork stay the focus. At Battle-Scarred, a slightly worn glove finish can also suit the rifle's rugged condition.
