M4A1-S | Mud-Spec (Field-Tested)

The M4A1-S | Mud-Spec (Field-Tested) is an Industrial Grade rifle skin in a black, brown and tan camo with a mud-splatter texture. Field-Tested is the most common, best-value way to own it — a little honest wear on a design built to look weathered anyway.

Design

The look is all earthy camouflage: a black-and-brown base scattered with a mottled mud-splatter texture for a rugged, dug-in feel that skips flashy graphics entirely. It began as a community submission from the artist SayChains, and it comes with a fitting in-game line: "Backup has arrived."

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Field-Tested spans about float 0.15–0.38 and brings light edge chipping and scuffing along the handguard and receiver, with the colors looking a touch duller than higher grades. Even so, the camo pattern stays clearly readable — and since the skin's whole theme is grime and mud, the added wear reads as part of the design rather than damage.

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec Rarity

Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light-blue grade sitting near the bottom of the standard weapon tiers. It's a common pull, which keeps supply high and the price low.

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec Case and Collection

This skin sits in The Anubis Collection, first added during the Anubis Collection update in April 2023. The collection is bound to the Anubis map rather than a paid case, so its copies circulate through map-linked drops and the marketplace instead of case unboxings.

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec Patterns

Because the camouflage and its mud-splatter texture sit the same way on every copy, the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak edition doesn't exist here, because StatTrak weapons are only generated inside weapon cases and Mud-Spec is a map-collection drop rather than a case skin. The Souvenir version is real, though: it first appeared in the Paris 2023 Anubis Souvenir Package, as Souvenir weapons come exclusively from Major-tournament packages.

M4A1-S | Mud-Spec Price

Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than the higher grades while keeping the camo perfectly recognizable, and it's the most plentiful grade on the market. Within an already budget finish, it's about as easy on the wallet as they come. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested Mud-Spec look beat up?

Only lightly. You'll spot some edge chipping on the handguard and receiver and slightly duller color, but the camo pattern stays clear. The skin is themed around mud and grime to begin with, so a bit of wear actually suits it rather than spoiling the look.

Is Field-Tested the best-value Mud-Spec?

For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Factory New and Minimal Wear but keeps the pattern fully legible, and it's the most common grade around, so listings are plentiful. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper still if you want the absolute lowest entry price.

Which gloves match a Field-Tested Mud-Spec?

Stick with the earthy palette: brown, tan or olive gloves complement the black-brown camo best. Desert-toned Hand Wraps or a worn leather glove lean into the rugged, field-kit vibe and keep the whole loadout looking coherent.
