The M4A1-S | Night Terror (Field-Tested) is a Restricted rifle skin — a red-and-black nightmare design scrawled with an insomniac's stray thoughts. Field-Tested is the most common, best-value way to own it: a touch of honest wear on a design that hides it easily.
Design
Everything about the look is dramatic and dark — a black body soaked in red, overlaid with uneasy hand-written text that leans hard into a terror theme. It began as a community submission from the artist Madara, whose in-game description sets the scene: "Scattered thoughts from the mind of an insomniac have been scrawled across this custom-painted A1-S." A fitting line rides along with it: "In the bosom of the gentle night, is when I search for the light."
M4A1-S | Night Terror (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
On the 0.00–0.70 float scale, Field-Tested sits in the middle. The finish picks up light scratching along the edges and high-contact points, but the dark, densely patterned artwork swallows most of it, so the gun still reads well at a glance. This is the grade most players actually run — the sweet spot between looks and price.
