M4A1-S | Night Terror (Well-Worn)
The M4A1-S | Night Terror (Well-Worn) is a Restricted rifle skin with a haunting red-and-black look and insomniac scrawl, here in a more battered state. It's a cheap way into an atmospheric M4A1-S design, with wear the dark artwork still partly disguises.
Design
At its heart the finish is dark and dramatic: a black gun drowned in red, marked with unsettling hand-lettered thoughts. The community artist Madara built it around a terror motif, summed up in the in-game description — "Scattered thoughts from the mind of an insomniac have been scrawled across this custom-painted A1-S." It ships with the line "In the bosom of the gentle night, is when I search for the light."
M4A1-S | Night Terror (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Within the finish's 0.00–0.70 float range, Well-Worn sits toward the rough end — the grade just above the capped Battle-Scarred exterior. Here the scuffing and paint loss become clear across the receiver and edges, though the busy red-and-black artwork keeps the design recognizable rather than muddy. For players who care more about price than a spotless surface, it delivers the look for less.
M4A1-S | Night Terror Rarity
Rarity: Restricted, the blue tier of the standard weapon grades. It ranks above the common tiers and below Classified and Covert — a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox from a case.
M4A1-S | Night Terror Case and Collection
Belonging to The Dreams & Nightmares Collection, this skin drops from the Dreams & Nightmares Case that arrived back in January 2022. As a group the Restricted tier unboxes about 15.98% of the time (that figure is shared across the tier), and with copies readily available on the market, most buyers skip the case entirely and pick one up directly.
M4A1-S | Night Terror Patterns
Because Madara's lettering and red washes are placed the same on each copy, this finish carries no random pattern variation — there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Wear and float are all that set one copy apart from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You'll also find a StatTrak™ edition, drawn from the Dreams & Nightmares Case, which tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it's scarcer and more expensive than the plain skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over whenever the item changes hands. A Souvenir version was never produced, since Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages and this skin has never appeared in a Major drop.
M4A1-S | Night Terror Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of this skin's ladder, under Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget route to the design for players who won't pay the mid-grade premium. On an already budget-friendly M4A1-S, it's about as cheap as the finish gets before the roughest grade. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How rough does the Well-Worn Night Terror look?
Noticeably. Expect visible scratches and paint thinning across the receiver and edges — more than Field-Tested but short of the heaviest battering. The dense red-and-black artwork keeps the design legible, so it still reads clearly as Night Terror in-game rather than turning into a blur.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Only if price leads your decision. Field-Tested looks a fair bit better for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want this design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way down to Battle-Scarred.
Which gloves match the Night Terror?
Its red-and-black scheme suits a dark, aggressive loadout, so red or black gloves work best — a red pair mirrors the crimson tones, while black wraps hold the shadowy feel. Combine it with other red-and-black pieces to tie the nightmare theme together.
