M4A1-S | Printstream (Battle-Scarred)

The M4A1-S | Printstream (Battle-Scarred) is a Covert rifle skin with a stark black-and-white design and pearlescent highlights, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the most affordable way into a grail-tier M4A1-S finish, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.

Design

Printstream stays striking even here: a stark black and white design finished with pearlescent highlights, a technological, digital-flavored look that leans on contrast instead of clutter. Designed by the community artist JTPNZ, it's the printstream motif that gives the M4A1-S its clean, modern character.

M4A1-S | Printstream (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, and on the white base that wear is at its most obvious. The black graphics anchor the design so it stays readable. Printstream is float-capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, so even this grade never reaches the most extreme end of the wear scale — Battle-Scarred copies stay a shade milder than they would on an uncapped skin, and the same ceiling keeps Well-Worn from bottoming out.

M4A1-S | Printstream Rarity

Rarity: Covert, the red tier. It sits at the top of the standard weapon grades as the rarest class to unbox, so even a heavily worn Printstream still carries that top-tier standing.

M4A1-S | Printstream Case and Collection

Printstream sits in The Operation Broken Fang Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Broken Fang Case, which released with Operation Broken Fang in December 2020. The Covert tier drops around 0.64% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the case has left the active drop pool, supply is fixed — unboxing is rare, so the market supplies most copies.

M4A1-S | Printstream Patterns

There's no random pattern variation to speak of on Printstream — the graphics and pearlescent accents are fixed on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth chasing. What sets copies apart is wear and float, nothing more.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ M4A1-S | Printstream is out there too, adding a confirmed-kill counter; pulled from the Operation Broken Fang Case, it's a rarer and costlier drop than the standard skin, and its counter is permanent, staying with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir edition exists — Souvenir weapons are made only from Major-tournament packages, and Operation Broken Fang was never a Major event.

M4A1-S | Printstream Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish — the entry-level way to run this design for players who care more about owning a Printstream than about a spotless surface. It's still a high-end skin, just the most accessible point on its ladder. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred Printstream still recognizable?

Yes. Despite heavy scuffing, the bold black graphics and the underlying white finish keep the design readable at a glance in-game. On a light base the wear is more apparent than on a dark skin, but Battle-Scarred is about accepting that trade in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the look.

Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Printstream reach maximum wear?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.80 instead of the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never hit the most extreme end of the wear scale. They still show plenty of damage, but the ceiling means the grade stays a touch milder than a fully uncapped skin would at the same condition.

How does Printstream compare in price to other M4A1-S skins?

It's firmly high-end, grail-tier territory, well above the Mil-Spec and Classified finishes for the weapon. As a Covert skin that pulls at only about 0.64% from an out-of-rotation case, even the cheapest grade, Battle-Scarred, still costs more than most other M4A1-S options on the market.
