M4A1-S | Stratosphere (Battle-Scarred)
The M4A1-S | Stratosphere (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified rifle skin — ships circling a planet on a sky-blue-to-stormy gradient, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the space design, trading surface polish for the lowest entry price.
Design
Stratosphere keeps a strong cosmic identity: spacefaring ships orbit a planet across the silenced M4, a vivid sky-blue upper fading into a stormy, darker lower. It carries a fitting in-game line — "One day in the not too distant future..." — that leans fully into the outer-space theme.
M4A1-S | Stratosphere (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Battle-Scarred is the top of the finish's float band, which runs from 0.00 up to a capped 0.80 rather than the full 1.0. Because of that cap, even the roughest copies never reach the most extreme wear a full-range skin would — the damage shows as heavy scratching and paint loss across the body, but the space scene stays readable through it. The dark stormy lower helps disguise some of the scuffing, too.
M4A1-S | Stratosphere Rarity
Rarity: Classified — the pink tier. It sits one step under Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades, making it a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.
M4A1-S | Stratosphere Case and Collection
The skin sits in The Ascent Collection, which was introduced with the Spring Forward update in March 2025. As a group the Classified tier pulls at around 3.2% (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because supply is fixed, the market — not fresh drops — is where most copies come from.
M4A1-S | Stratosphere Patterns
There's no random pattern roll on this finish — the orbiting ships, the planet, and the blue gradient are laid down the same on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth chasing. Only wear and float distinguish one copy from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You won't find a StatTrak version: StatTrak editions come from weapon cases, and Stratosphere was never included in one, so no kill-counter copy was ever produced. A Souvenir version doesn't exist either — Souvenir weapons are handed out only through Major-tournament packages, and The Ascent Collection has never appeared as a Major drop.
M4A1-S | Stratosphere Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish — the entry-level way to run the space design for players who care more about the look than pristine condition. Given the skin already sits in affordable mid-tier territory for the M4A1-S, this grade is about as low-cost as the Stratosphere gets. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Stratosphere still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy scratching and paint loss, the orbiting ships, the planet, and the sky-blue gradient keep the design clearly readable at a glance in game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting obvious wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the space scene entirely.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred copy look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies stop short of the most extreme wear. Combined with the darker stormy lower tone hiding some of the damage, the skin stays more legible here than many lighter-based finishes do at this grade.
Which gloves pair with it?
Its cool sky-blue palette suits a blue-leaning loadout, so blue or blue-and-white gloves match the gradient, while gray or neutral wraps keep attention on the artwork. Even at this worn grade, teaming it with other blue-toned gear pulls the storm-sky look together.
