M4A4 | The Battlestar (Minimal Wear)

M4A4 | The Battlestar (Minimal Wear)

The M4A4 | The Battlestar (Minimal Wear) is a Covert rifle skin with a spaceship-interior theme — an olive-and-gray body, a dark-green receiver, and small yellow accent details. Minimal Wear sits just below the top grade, keeping the design looking almost untouched for a bit less than Factory New.

Design

Inspired by the inside of a spaceship, this finish leans on gray across the forend, grip, and stock, with a dark-green receiver through the middle and a scattering of small yellow details for contrast. The community artist Millenia created it, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Beware those who speak of the watchtower."

M4A4 | The Battlestar (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

At Minimal Wear the finish picks up only the faintest wear on the sharpest edges, and you'd have to look closely to spot it. The gray panels and dark-green receiver still read well, and the yellow accents stay legible. It's the grade for players who want a near-flawless look without paying the top-exterior premium.

M4A4 | The Battlestar Rarity

Rarity: Covert, the red tier. It's the highest grade among standard weapon skins, ranked a step above Classified, and it's the scarcest kind of finish to unbox — the reason the Battlestar sits in prestige company.

M4A4 | The Battlestar Case and Collection

Part of The Wildfire Collection, this skin is unboxed from the Operation Wildfire Case, which arrived with Operation Wildfire on February 17, 2016. Across the case the Covert tier pulls at roughly 0.64% (that figure is shared among the tier's skins), and since the case left the active drop pool years ago, supply is capped — buyers pick most copies up on the market instead of unboxing them.

M4A4 | The Battlestar Patterns

There's no random pattern roll on the Battlestar — the gray frame, green receiver, and yellow accents land identically on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth chasing. The only variables that separate copies are their wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There is a StatTrak™ Battlestar, which tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it drops more rarely and costs more than the plain version, and its counter is permanent, staying with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir edition was ever made — Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament packages, and this finish came from a case, not a Major giveaway.

M4A4 | The Battlestar Price

Minimal Wear lands near the top of the range, one rung under Factory New — a premium grade that shaves a little off the top-exterior price while keeping nearly the same look. For many buyers it's the smart middle ground on a Covert M4A4. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How different does Minimal Wear look from Factory New?

Barely different to the eye. Minimal Wear adds only the lightest edge wear that's hard to notice in-game, so the gray panels, green receiver, and yellow accents look almost the same as the top grade. Most players who don't need the absolute best exterior find it the better-value choice.

Is the Battlestar a good M4A4 skin to own?

It's a well-regarded pick. As a Covert from Operation Wildfire with a distinctive sci-fi theme and a low drop rate, the Battlestar holds solid standing among M4A4 finishes. Its muted gray-and-green look also pairs with a wide range of loadouts, adding to its appeal.

Does a StatTrak Battlestar exist?

Yes. A StatTrak™ version drops from the same Operation Wildfire Case and tracks your confirmed kills on a built-in counter. It's scarcer and more expensive than the standard skin, and the count is permanent — it follows the weapon through every trade or sale without ever starting over.
