MAC-10 | Acid Hex (Battle-Scarred)
The MAC-10 | Acid Hex (Battle-Scarred) is the roughest grade of this Industrial Grade hex finish, and also the cheapest. Even here the neon-green pattern stays readable against the worn black base.
Design
The finish is a green hydrographic hex grid over black, a Valve design built purely on geometry and contrast. The accompanying line, "Hex marks the spot," fits the graphic, almost circuit-diagram feel of the artwork.
MAC-10 | Acid Hex (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
The Acid Hex is capped at 0.58 float rather than running the full 0–1.0 scale, so Battle-Scarred here never reaches the extreme scuffing seen on uncapped skins. Even so, expect heavy fading on the black panels and softened hex lines — this is the finish's most worn state, just a milder version of it.

Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light-blue grade one tier above Consumer Grade, a common classification for the MAC-10.
MAC-10 | Acid Hex Case and Collection
This finish is part of The Boreal Collection, which arrived in the Spring Forward update of March 2025. There's no weapon case tied to it, so every copy in circulation comes from trading or the marketplace.

The hex grid is fixed artwork with no paint-seed variation, meaning every copy — including this one — displays the identical layout. Only condition sets Battle-Scarred apart from the cleaner grades.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak Acid Hex and no Souvenir edition either; the finish exists only in its regular form, since Souvenir items require a Major-tournament package that this skin was never part of.

FAQ
Does Battle-Scarred still show the hex pattern clearly?
Yes. Despite the heavy fading on the black base, the green hex fill remains bright enough to read at a glance in-game. You're trading polish for price here, not the design itself.
Why doesn't Battle-Scarred look as rough as on other skins?
The Acid Hex's float tops out at 0.58 instead of the usual 1.0 maximum, so its worst condition is inherently milder than a full-range skin's Battle-Scarred. It still shows clear wear, just not the most extreme version possible.
Is Battle-Scarred the best value grade?
For pure budget, yes — it's the cheapest way to own the Acid Hex. Field-Tested is a better middle ground if you want less fading, but Battle-Scarred is the pick if price is all that matters.
