MAC-10 | Curse (Field-Tested)
The MAC-10 | Curse (Field-Tested) shows off the same mummy graphic in a Restricted SMG skin, here at the classic mid-range condition. Field-Tested balances a still-legible design against a noticeably lower price than the cleaner grades.
Design
At its heart this is a single graphic image of a mummy painted across the weapon, an illustrated, comic-style piece rather than an abstract texture. It's a community creation from irecon and others, not an official Valve design.
MAC-10 | Curse (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Within the Curse's 0.00–0.50 float range, Field-Tested lands roughly in the middle. The mummy graphic picks up light general wear here — a bit of softening in the finer linework — but the overall image stays easy to read. Because float never climbs past 0.50 on this skin, Field-Tested still looks a fair bit tidier than a mid-wear copy of a full-range finish would.
MAC-10 | Curse Rarity
Rarity: Restricted, the purple tier. That places it a step below Classified and among the scarcer grades handed out for weapon finishes.
MAC-10 | Curse Case and Collection
This finish comes out of The Huntsman Collection, released with the The Hunt Begins update in May 2014. No weapon case supports it, so most copies are picked up through trade-up contracts or bought directly rather than unboxed. Across the collection, the Restricted tier as a group turns up about 15.98% of the time, a figure shared across all of that tier's skins.
MAC-10 | Curse Patterns
The mummy artwork is fixed on every copy — the paint-seed number has no bearing on its appearance. There's no pattern to chase or blue-gem seed to look out for; wear and float alone set one Curse apart from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak MAC-10 | Curse and no Souvenir edition. Souvenir items are handed out solely through Major-tournament packages, and this finish has never been included in one, so the standard skin is the only version out there.
MAC-10 | Curse Price
Field-Tested sits in the middle of the Curse's price ladder — a clear step down from Minimal Wear while the mummy design still comes through clearly. It's the balance point between looks and cost for this premium finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does Field-Tested hide wear well on the Curse?
Reasonably well. The illustrated mummy graphic softens a little at the edges by Field-Tested, but the overall picture stays clear and recognizable. Since the skin never floats past 0.50, this grade still looks tidier than a mid-wear copy of many other finishes.
Is Field-Tested the best value grade for the Curse?
For a lot of buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than Minimal Wear or Factory New while keeping the artwork perfectly legible, making it a practical middle ground. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper still if budget is the top priority.
What collection is the MAC-10 | Curse from?
It's part of The Huntsman Collection, which arrived with the The Hunt Begins update in May 2014. Since there's no case tied to it, copies typically come from trade-up contracts or the market rather than a direct unbox.
