MAC-10 | Fade (Factory New)
The MAC-10 | Fade (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec Grade submachine gun skin built from airbrushed colors blending together over a chrome base coat. Because the finish is float-capped at just 0.08, Factory New sits right at the top of a very tight range, making this the cleanest the design ever gets.
Design
The look comes from transparent paints airbrushed so they fade into one another across a chrome undercoat, giving the whole gun a smooth, glossy gradient rather than any fixed image. It's a Valve-made finish, and it ships with an in-game line worth a smile: "This isn't just a weapon, it's a conversation piece."
MAC-10 | Fade (Factory New) Float and Wear
Fade never rolls above a 0.08 float, so the entire skin lives in near-mint territory and Factory New occupies the lowest slice of that band. The chrome base stays bright and the color gradient reads fully saturated, with no visible scuffing anywhere on the body. It's about as flawless as a MAC-10 skin can look.
MAC-10 | Fade Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — a common grade to unbox, but one of the pricier Mil-Spec picks around thanks to its popular gradient look.
MAC-10 | Fade Case and Collection
The Fade belongs to The Chop Shop Collection, introduced in the August 2014 update, and it isn't tied to a weapon case — copies come from collection drops or trade-up contracts rather than an unboxing. Mil-Spec Grade skins make up roughly 79.92% of that collection's drop pool, so the rarity itself is common even if this particular finish commands a premium price among its peers.
MAC-10 | Fade Fade Percentage
Since Fade is all about a blended color gradient, how much of the chrome base shows through and how evenly the colors spread can shift a bit from copy to copy depending on the paint seed. A fuller, more even fade across the whole body is generally the more sought-after look, though there's no verified percentage or seed number worth chasing — just eyeball the specific listing's coverage before buying.
StatTrak & Souvenir
This finish exists as a regular skin only — there's no StatTrak version to track kills with. There's also no Souvenir edition: Souvenir weapons are only ever included in Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Fade has never been part of one.
MAC-10 | Fade Price
Factory New is the top of the Fade's short two-grade ladder, commanding the highest price of the two available wears for the sharpest gradient on offer. It's a premium pick among MAC-10 skins overall. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Why does the Fade only come in Factory New and Minimal Wear?
The finish is float-capped at 0.08, and the game never generates a copy above that number. Field-Tested starts at 0.15 and Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred sit higher still, so those grades simply can't exist for this skin — Minimal Wear is as worn as it ever gets.
Is the Factory New Fade worth the extra cost over Minimal Wear?
If you want the gradient at its most vivid, yes — Factory New sits at the very bottom of an already tight float range. But because both grades stay so close together on float, a Minimal Wear copy looks nearly identical for less, so it comes down to how much a marginal edge in shine matters to you.
Which gloves pair well with the Fade?
Its chrome-and-gradient palette shifts through several colors, so gloves that lean metallic or multicolor tend to work best — a good MAC-10 Fade glove combo is a pair of driver or sport gloves in a neutral or gradient-friendly tone that won't clash with whichever hue the fade leans toward on your copy.
