MAG-7 | Heat (Minimal Wear)
The MAG-7 | Heat (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted shotgun skin with a molten, forge-fresh orange finish over darkened metal. Minimal Wear is a near-top grade that holds the fiery color strong while sitting a step under the Factory New price.
Design
The styling is all molten metal: warm orange gradients spreading across the MAG-7 as though it just left the forge. Community artist joop created the finish, and it comes with a fitting in-game line: "Make some outlines of your own."
MAG-7 | Heat (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
Across the finish's full 0.00–1.00 float range, Minimal Wear covers the low band just above Factory New. At this level the orange glow stays vivid and the metal deep, with only the faintest edge wear under close inspection. It's the value grade for players who want a near-flawless forge effect without the top-grade cost.
MAG-7 | Heat Rarity
Rarity: Restricted, the purple tier — one rung above Mil-Spec among the standard grades. That makes it a notably less common pull than the blue-tier skins sharing its case.
MAG-7 | Heat Case and Collection
Part of The Chroma 2 Collection, this MAG-7 comes out of the Chroma 2 Case that launched in April 2015. Across the case the Restricted tier pulls at about 15.98% (an odds figure shared among the tier's skins), so it's a scarcer find than the common grades in the same case.
MAG-7 | Heat Patterns
There's no random pattern roll on this finish — the artwork is fixed, so the orange forge gradient sits identically on every copy. No paint seed or blue-gem edition is worth chasing; wear and float are the only things separating one Minimal Wear unit from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak™ MAG-7 | Heat, which brings a confirmed-kill counter and drops from the Chroma 2 Case; it's rarer and costs more, and the counter is permanent — it never gets wiped through trades or sales. No Souvenir edition was made, because Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament packages and this finish never appeared in one.
MAG-7 | Heat Price
Minimal Wear sits just below Factory New on the ladder — a modest saving for a look very close to the top grade, and a solid middle option in this premium MAG-7 finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does Minimal Wear look much different from Factory New?
Barely. The molten orange gradient holds up well, so a Minimal Wear copy reads almost identical to Factory New at a glance, with only faint edge wear visible up close. For most buyers it's the smarter pickup — near-top looks on a premium finish for a lower price.
How rare is the Heat MAG-7?
It's a Restricted, purple-tier finish, which unboxes at roughly 15.98% from the Chroma 2 Case — a fair bit rarer than the common Mil-Spec skins in the same case. That relative scarcity is part of why it carries a premium price across every wear grade.
Does the paint seed matter on Heat?
No. The design is fixed, so the seed index never changes the look — every copy shows the same orange forge gradient across the metal. There's no premium pattern or blue-gem seed to seek out, so choosing a copy comes down purely to wear and price.
