MAG-7 | Copper Oxide (Battle-Scarred)
The MAG-7 | Copper Oxide (Battle-Scarred, BS) is a Consumer Grade shotgun skin with a blue and rose-gold split, in its most worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the finish, trading surface quality for the lowest possible price.
Design
The finish keeps it simple: two solid tones — cool blue and warm rose gold — laid flat across the gun with no graphics on top. Valve made it, and it ships with an in-game line straight from its designer: "I'm trying something different here, tell me what you think - Yukako, Gunsmith."
MAG-7 | Copper Oxide (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Battle-Scarred sits at the top of the capped 0.00–0.65 range — and because that cap stops well short of 1.0, this grade never reaches the extreme wear you'd see on a full-range skin. Expect clear scuffing and paint loss across the color blocks, but the blue and rose-gold split stays readable rather than trashed. It's the finish at its roughest, and cheapest.
MAG-7 | Copper Oxide Rarity
Rarity: Consumer Grade, the white class. Sitting at the very base of the standard weapon grades, it's the most common tier there is — which is exactly why even a worn copy stays cheap.
MAG-7 | Copper Oxide Case and Collection
This finish sits in The Boreal Collection, released alongside the Spring Forward update on March 31, 2025. It belongs to the collection's Consumer Grade tier, the most common one, so regular copies are abundant and reach players almost entirely through the market.
MAG-7 | Copper Oxide Patterns
Since the blue and rose-gold blocks land the same way on every copy, the finish has no random pattern variation — no paint seed to weigh up, no blue-gem edition to hunt. Buying a Battle-Scarred copy comes down purely to wear and float, which means purely to price.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You won't find a StatTrak MAG-7 | Copper Oxide, since StatTrak is minted only by weapon cases and this skin comes from a collection with none. There's no Souvenir edition either — Souvenir weapons are produced solely through Major-tournament packages, and The Boreal Collection has never appeared at one.
MAG-7 | Copper Oxide Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of an already budget finish — the entry-level way to run the two-tone color split for players who value the look over its condition. It's about as low as MAG-7 skin pricing goes. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Copper Oxide still recognizable?
Yes. Even with clear scuffing and paint loss, the bold blue and rose-gold blocks keep the design readable in-game — and the 0.65 float cap means the wear never hits the extreme end. It's the trade-off of accepting visible damage for the lowest price without the finish becoming unrecognizable.
Why is Battle-Scarred the cheapest grade?
Because it carries the most wear. Higher floats mean more scratching and paint loss, which buyers value below cleaner copies, so the price falls. On a budget Consumer Grade finish like this, that already-low price drops to the bottom of the whole MAG-7 range at Battle-Scarred.
Who designed the Copper Oxide?
It's a Valve-made finish, added to The Boreal Collection in the March 2025 Spring Forward update. The design is a flat two-tone split of blue and rose gold, and it carries the in-game line "I'm trying something different here, tell me what you think - Yukako, Gunsmith," framing it as an experiment in bold, simple color.
