MP5-SD | Desert Strike (Field-Tested)
The MP5-SD | Desert Strike (Field-Tested, FT) brings the tan-and-black high-tech design to the most common, mid-condition grade. It's the classic balance point of the finish — real-world wear, without giving up the desert-tactical look that defines it.
Design
Nextgenz built the finish around a tan and black high-tech paint scheme, using flat angular blocks rather than a literal desert print for a modern tactical read. The flavor text "Strike first, strike last" reinforces that aggressive, mission-ready framing.
MP5-SD | Desert Strike (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
With a float range running from 0.00 all the way to 1.00, Field-Tested sits comfortably in the middle. Expect visible scuffing along the edges and some paint thinning on raised surfaces, though the tan-and-black contrast is still easy to make out from a normal viewing distance. It's the grade most players end up running simply because it's so widely available.
MP5-SD | Desert Strike Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier and the single most common rarity a case can roll, below Restricted, Classified, and Covert. It's never hard to find on the market.
MP5-SD | Desert Strike Case and Collection
Desert Strike comes from the Prisma 2 Case, released as part of The Prisma 2 Collection in March 2020. Mil-Spec skins make up about 79.92% of that case's drop pool, so this is one of the more frequently unboxed finishes from it.
MP5-SD | Desert Strike Patterns
The tan and black paint job is fixed across every copy — there's no pattern seed to chase and no rare "blue gem" variant, since the artwork never shifts. Wear grade alone decides how sharp or scuffed a given copy looks.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version is available out of the same Prisma 2 Case and permanently logs confirmed kills, a total that carries over through every trade. Souvenir copies don't exist for this finish, since Souvenir weapons come strictly from Major-tournament packages and it was never included in one.
MP5-SD | Desert Strike Price
Field-Tested is the value pick of the lineup — noticeably cheaper than the two cleaner grades while still showing the design clearly. Desert Strike overall sits in the affordable mid-tier bracket, and this grade is usually the cheapest way to get a good-looking copy. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Field-Tested a good choice for the Desert Strike?
For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Minimal Wear (MW) or Factory New (FN) while still showing the tan-and-black paint clearly, making it the practical pick for anyone who wants the look without paying a premium for a barely noticeable difference in surface condition.
How much wear shows up at Field-Tested?
Expect light-to-moderate scuffing on the magazine, receiver, and edges, with the tan and black colors still clearly visible. It's noticeably more worn than Minimal Wear but well short of the heavy damage seen on Battle-Scarred (BS).
What best MP5-SD Desert Strike glove combo works with this skin?
Its tan-and-black palette pairs naturally with sand-toned or black gloves — tan wraps echo the desert paint, while black gloves lean into the more tactical, high-contrast side of the design. Either direction keeps the loadout visually cohesive.
