MP9 | Food Chain (Field-Tested)

MP9 | Food Chain (Field-Tested)

The MP9 | Food Chain (Field-Tested) brings the same colorful monster food-chain design at the most common, most affordable wear level. It's the everyday way most players end up owning this Classified SMG skin.

Design

The artwork is bright and cartoonish by design — a monster food chain painted across the body in high-saturation colors, matched with the flavor line "Eat or be eaten." Community artist chipAs built the design around that thematic, larger-eats-smaller idea.

MP9 | Food Chain (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Field-Tested falls in the middle of the Food Chain's 0.00–1.00 float range. Expect some light scuffing and softened edges compared to a Minimal Wear copy, but the colorful artwork still reads clearly at normal viewing distance — this is the grade most Food Chain owners actually run.

MP9 | Food Chain Rarity

The finish carries Classified rarity, the pink tier that sits just one grade below Covert — among the rarer standard drops from any case.

MP9 | Food Chain Case and Collection

It's part of The Snakebite Collection and drops from the Snakebite Case, introduced with the End of Broken Fang update in May 2021. Classified skins pull at roughly 3.2% from the case as a group, a rate shared across the tier rather than specific to this finish.

MP9 | Food Chain Patterns

No paint seed affects how this skin looks — the food-chain scene is fixed and identical on every copy, so there's no rare pattern or "blue gem" version worth hunting. Wear level is what actually changes the picture here.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ MP9 | Food Chain exists too, adding a kill counter that stays attached to the weapon for good, through every trade. Souvenir copies were never produced, since that variant only comes out of Major-tournament packages and this finish has never been included in one.

MP9 | Food Chain Price

Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the lineup — noticeably cheaper than Minimal Wear while still showing the food-chain art clearly. It keeps this premium MP9 finish accessible without a big premium. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Field-Tested a good choice for the Food Chain?

For most buyers, yes. It's the most common and most affordable wear, and the colorful design still comes through clearly despite some light scuffing. Unless flawless condition matters to you specifically, Field-Tested delivers most of the look for a lot less money.

What update added the MP9 | Food Chain?

It launched with the End of Broken Fang update in May 2021, as part of The Snakebite Collection. That makes it one of the newer Classified finishes on the MP9.

Can I get the Food Chain in StatTrak?

Yes — a StatTrak™ edition exists with a built-in kill counter, sold separately from the regular finish. It typically costs more than the standard version at the same wear.
