The MP9 | Hot Rod (Minimal Wear) is the roughest grade this finish reaches, since its float never climbs above 0.08. Even so, the glossy red-over-chrome coat still looks close to new.

Design

The finish pairs a chrome base coat with a candied, transparent red anodized paint for a shiny, automotive-inspired look. It's a Valve creation, matched with the flavor text "Automatic. Systematic. Hydromatic."

MP9 | Hot Rod (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

Because Hot Rod is capped between 0.00 and 0.08, Minimal Wear is the worst condition this finish ever reaches — there's no Field-Tested, Well-Worn, or Battle-Scarred version at all.
