MP9 | Stained Glass (Field-Tested)
The MP9 | Stained Glass (Field-Tested) brings the model's blue and red stained-glass paint job to a mid-range condition. It's the classic balance point for this Restricted finish — noticeable wear, but the design still comes through clearly.
Design
Valve's stained-glass concept covers the MP9 body in blue and red panes, an unusually artistic choice for an SMG skin. The theme is backed by a fitting flavor line, "You break it, you buy it," a nod that plays right into the glass motif.
MP9 | Stained Glass (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested some scuffing shows along the edges and grip, but the panel-based design hides light damage reasonably well since the color blocks stay distinct even with a bit of surface wear. Because the finish tops out at 0.5 float, this grade still sits well short of the roughest look a full-range skin can reach.
MP9 | Stained Glass Rarity
Rarity: Restricted, the blue-purple tier one step above Mil-Spec and one below Classified. It's a comfortably uncommon grade among weapon skins as a whole.
MP9 | Stained Glass Case and Collection
The finish is part of The Canals Collection from the Operation Shattered Web update in November 2019, and it has no matching weapon case — supply comes only from that collection. Within it, Restricted items drop at about 15.98%, a rate that's shared across the tier's whole roster, not unique to this skin.
MP9 | Stained Glass Patterns
There's no pattern lottery here: the stained-glass layout is identical on every copy, so hunting for a "best" paint seed doesn't apply to this finish. Condition and float are what actually differ between two copies.
StatTrak & Souvenir
This finish comes only as a regular skin — no StatTrak counter version exists, and no Souvenir edition either. Souvenir stock is limited to Major-tournament packages, and Stained Glass has never been offered through one.
MP9 | Stained Glass Price
Field-Tested sits in the middle of the price range, cheaper than Minimal Wear and Factory New while still delivering the same recognizable glasswork. It remains one of the pricier MP9 finishes overall despite the mid-grade condition. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does Field-Tested hide wear well on this finish?
Reasonably. The color-block design of the stained-glass panels keeps the artwork readable even with some scuffing, and since float is capped at 0.5, the wear never gets as extreme as it could on a full-range skin. It's a solid middle option for buyers on a budget.
Is Field-Tested the best value grade?
For many buyers, yes. It costs meaningfully less than Minimal Wear or Factory New while keeping the design perfectly recognizable, making it a popular pick for players who don't need a mint-condition copy.
Why doesn't this finish have a StatTrak version?
StatTrak variants only exist for skins tied to a case that introduced that option, and Stained Glass never had one — it comes strictly from The Canals Collection as a regular finish, with no StatTrak or Souvenir counterpart.
