P250 | Modern Hunter (Factory New)

The P250 | Modern Hunter (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec Grade pistol skin wrapped in a gray-toned hunting camo hydrographic. Factory New is the top grade for this finish, so the camo prints as sharp as the skin ever looks.

Design

Valve built this one around a photographic hunting camo hydrographic, layering muted grays and tans across the slide and frame for a rugged, military feel rather than a flashy graphic. It's a straightforward, Valve-made finish that leans on the camo photo print itself rather than any added artwork.

P250 | Modern Hunter (Factory New) Float and Wear

Copies of the Modern Hunter roll between 0.06 and 0.80 float, and Factory New sits right at the bottom of that range. At this grade the camo photo print reads crisp with no visible scuffing, giving the gray tones their full contrast. Since the finish is capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, even the roughest copies out there stay milder than a skin that goes all the way to Battle-Scarred territory.

P250 | Modern Hunter Rarity

This is a Mil-Spec Grade skin — the entry tier of the standard weapon-case rarity ladder, blue in the Steam inventory color coding. It's the most common grade a case can produce, which keeps supply steady.

P250 | Modern Hunter Case and Collection

The Modern Hunter belongs to The Militia Collection, which arrived with the Arms Deal update back in August 2013. Mil-Spec Grade skins make up the bulk of a typical case's odds pool, roughly 79.92% by tier, though this collection isn't tied to an active case right now, so most copies change hands on the market rather than getting unboxed fresh.

P250 | Modern Hunter Patterns

The camo hydrographic is a fixed design — the paint-seed index doesn't shift the layout at all, so every copy shows the same gray camo print in the same place. There's no pattern or blue-gem seed worth chasing here; float and wear are the only variables.

StatTrak & Souvenir

This finish exists as a regular finish only — there's no StatTrak version and no Souvenir version to look for. The Souvenir absence comes down to mechanism: Souvenir weapons only ever come out of Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Modern Hunter has never been part of one.

P250 | Modern Hunter Price

Factory New commands the top of the Modern Hunter's price ladder, and given the finish's overall standing this is a high-end, grail-tier pickup for the P250 rather than a casual buy. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Factory New Modern Hunter worth the premium?

If you want the camo hydrographic at its sharpest, yes — Factory New shows the gray tones with zero visible scuffing, which lower grades can't fully match. It's a grail-tier P250 pick either way, so the jump to FN mostly matters to collectors chasing the cleanest copy on the shelf.

Why does the float only go up to 0.80 instead of 1.0?

Valve caps every finish's float range individually, and the Modern Hunter's ceiling was set at 0.80. That means even the most battered copy in circulation looks a bit less rough than a skin that reaches the full 1.0 mark.

Does the Modern Hunter have a StatTrak or Souvenir version?

No. It exists only as a regular finish — no confirmed-kill counter and no Souvenir tag exist for this skin. Souvenir copies are only ever handed out from Major-tournament packages, and the Modern Hunter has never appeared in one.
