SCAR-20 | Caged (Well-Worn)
The SCAR-20 | Caged (Well-Worn) is a Mil-Spec autosniper skin carrying a blue-and-purple gradient, here in a more weathered state. It's a cheap route into the color for players who don't mind visible wear.
Design
At heart Caged is a blue-to-purple gradient spread over the SCAR-20 body, a minimalist, color-driven finish with no graphics competing for attention. It began as a community submission from the artist -AVR-, and it carries a lighthearted in-game line: "That's a big weapon for such a small cage..."
SCAR-20 | Caged (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
The finish uses the entire 0.00–1.00 float range, and Well-Worn sits toward the rough end of it. Scuffing and paint loss become obvious across the body and edges, and the gradient dulls a little under the wear — though the blue-to-purple color still comes through. For buyers who prioritize price over surface condition, this grade delivers the design for less.
SCAR-20 | Caged Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — the entry level of the colored weapon grades. As the most commonly unboxed tier, it's the reason this skin stays budget-friendly and easy to find.
SCAR-20 | Caged Case and Collection
Caged sits within The Genesis Collection, which came out with the Show Off update in September 2025 and is accessed through the Sealed Genesis Terminal. Mil-Spec skins take up the lion's share of that pool at roughly 79.92% of drops (a rate every skin in the tier shares), so the market is well stocked.

Because the gradient is a fixed design, there's no random pattern variation — the seed number has no bearing on the blue-to-purple blend, which sits identically on every copy. No blue-gem seed to track, nothing to filter for; only wear and float ever separate one Caged from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Only the regular version of Caged exists — there's no StatTrak variant tracking kills and no Souvenir edition. The lack of a Souvenir comes down to how they're made: Souvenir weapons drop exclusively from Major-tournament packages, and The Genesis Collection was never part of a Major.

FAQ
How rough does the Well-Worn Caged look?
Fairly noticeable. You'll see scuffing and paint thinning across the body and edges, and the gradient loses a bit of its vibrancy under the wear. It's clearly more battered than Field-Tested but stops short of the heaviest damage, so the blue-to-purple color still identifies the skin in-game.
Is Well-Worn worth it over Field-Tested?
Mainly if price is your top concern. Field-Tested keeps the gradient looking noticeably fresher for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers land there. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the Caged design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred.
Does the seed affect the Well-Worn copies?
Not at all. The gradient is fixed, so the paint seed doesn't change the artwork — every copy shares the same blue-to-purple fade regardless of index. What varies between Well-Worn copies is purely the amount and placement of visible wear, driven by the exact float, not any pattern.
