Valve designed this finish around bold radiological warning hazard patterns spray-painted across the SG 553, a stark, high-visibility look built for readability rather than subtlety. There's no recorded flavor text for this one, so the visuals do all the talking.
SG 553 | Fallout Warning (Factory New) Float and Wear
Float on this finish spans 0 up to 0.80, and Factory New occupies the very bottom of that range. At this grade the red hazard stencils show no scuffing whatsoever, staying fully saturated and crisp — the cleanest this warning-themed paint job ever looks.
SG 553 | Fallout Warning Rarity
Rarity: Industrial Grade, the light-blue tier and the second-lowest grade on the standard rifle-skin ladder. It's a common drop, which keeps the finish easy to find and inexpensive relative to higher tiers.

Fallout Warning belongs to The Cache Collection, which arrived in the July 2014 update. There's no weapon case tied to this finish — regular copies come from the collection itself (via trade-up or collection drops), while Souvenir copies are a separate track handed out at Major tournaments.

Why is Fallout Warning priced higher than a typical Industrial Grade skin?
Age and demand play a big part — the finish dates back to July 2014 and has built a following for its bold hazard-stripe look. Even though Industrial Grade is normally a budget tier, Fallout Warning trades at a premium relative to its peers in the same rarity.
When did the Fallout Warning come out?
It launched with The Cache Collection in the July 2014 update, making it one of the older SG 553 finishes still in circulation. It has been tradable ever since, both as a regular finish and through Souvenir packages from later Majors.
Is there a Souvenir SG 553 | Fallout Warning?
Yes. Souvenir copies first showed up in the ESL One Cologne 2014 Cache Souvenir Package, and several later Major tournaments issued their own souvenir packages carrying it too — that's separate from the regular Factory New copy described here.
