SG 553 | Pulse (Minimal Wear)
The SG 553 | Pulse (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted rifle skin covered in a hydrographic of bold fuchsia fragments. Since the finish never drops in Factory New, Minimal Wear is the cleanest grade it comes in.
Design
Bold fuchsia fragments spread across the body in a hydrographic pattern, a vivid, high-energy look rather than anything muted. It's a community design by Thurnip, and it comes with the line "Striking colors for a striking weapon."
SG 553 | Pulse (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
The Pulse is float-capped starting at 0.10, so no Factory New exists and Minimal Wear is the top grade available. At this level the fuchsia fragments read bright and well-defined, with only the faintest wear if any — the closest to flawless this finish ever gets.
SG 553 | Pulse Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, sitting above Mil-Spec and below Classified, a genuinely uncommon grade to pull from a case.
SG 553 | Pulse Case and Collection
The Pulse is part of The Phoenix Collection and drops from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, released alongside Operation Phoenix in February 2014. Restricted-tier skins as a group land around 15.98% of the time from that case, and with Operation Phoenix long over, most copies now change hands on the market rather than through unboxing.
SG 553 | Pulse Patterns
The fuchsia hydrographic design is fixed — the paint-seed index doesn't change how it looks, so every copy shows the same fragmented pattern. There's no "best pattern" or blue-gem seed to hunt for here; wear and float are what separate copies.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the Pulse exists, sourced from the same Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, and it tracks confirmed kills permanently, carrying over through trades and sales. There's no Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and this finish has never been offered in one.
SG 553 | Pulse Price
Minimal Wear sits at the top of the Pulse's price ladder as the highest grade available, and the finish overall carries premium pricing for the SG 553 line — a step up from a casual pickup. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Why is there no Factory New SG 553 | Pulse?
The finish is float-capped starting at 0.10, and the game never rolls a copy below that. Factory New needs a float under 0.07, so it simply can't exist here — Minimal Wear is the highest grade the skin reaches.
Is Minimal Wear worth the premium price on the Pulse?
As the cleanest available grade, it shows the fuchsia hydrographic pattern at its brightest, which matters if you want the sharpest version of a finish already priced at a premium. Field-Tested is a cheaper alternative if the top grade isn't essential to you.
What gloves go with the Pulse?
The bold fuchsia palette pairs naturally with pink or purple gloves that echo the hydrographic pattern, making for a vibrant, matched loadout — the best SG 553 Pulse glove combo for players who want their gear to pop.
