Souvenir Tec-9 | Red Quartz (Minimal Wear)
What makes a copy Souvenir
The Souvenir Tec-9 | Red Quartz (Minimal Wear, MW) is the Souvenir copy of this skin — the same Restricted finish, handed out in a souvenir package at a Major rather than pulled from a case. The look comes from metallic paint layered with a crystallizing mask, breaking the orange surface into faceted shapes rather than a flat color block. Minimal Wear covers 0.07–0.15 on the float scale, a step below Factory New, with wear that stays hard to spot at a glance.
What the stickers do to the price of the Tec-9 | Red Quartz
A souvenir copy exists only because someone opened a souvenir package during a Major. It comes with up to four stickers tied to one specific match — the two line-ups, the MVP of that match and the event logo — and those stickers are permanent. A Souvenir skin is never StatTrak™ — the two are mutually exclusive.
Where it comes from
What a souvenir copy is worth depends less on the finish than on whose stickers it carries. A legendary player or a famous final pushes a copy well above the plain version; an anonymous match leaves it close to one.
FAQ
Red Quartz comes out of The Train Collection, which launched back in November 2013 with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update.
Can a Souvenir Tec-9 | Red Quartz be StatTrak?
No. Souvenir and StatTrak™ are mutually exclusive — a copy is one or the other, never both, and neither can be added to a skin after it drops.
Can the stickers be removed from a Souvenir Tec-9 | Red Quartz?
No. Souvenir stickers are part of the copy and cannot be scraped off, unlike stickers a player applies themselves. That is why two souvenir copies of one skin at the same exterior can be priced far apart.
