SSG 08 | Detour (Well-Worn)
The SSG 08 | Detour (Well-Worn) is the most worn and cheapest grade this finish comes in, since it doesn't have a Battle-Scarred version. It's the budget way into the marker-on-white design.
Design
The finish is built on a white base coat scribbled over with dark permanent-marker lines, a raw, tactical style with no extra graphics beyond the marker itself. It's a Valve-made design, simple by intention.
SSG 08 | Detour (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Since the Detour's float caps at 0.43 rather than the full 1.0 scale, and this finish doesn't offer Battle-Scarred, Well-Worn is both the roughest and the lowest grade it comes in. Expect visible grime, scuffing, and some paint thinning on the white base, though the marker lines mostly hold up. Because the float never climbs to the extreme end, even this grade stays milder than a full-range skin's worst condition.
SSG 08 | Detour Rarity
This is a Mil-Spec Grade finish, the blue tier and the most common grade found among standard weapon skins in CS2.
SSG 08 | Detour Case and Collection
It comes from The Overpass Collection, released alongside Operation Breakout in June 2014, without a weapon case behind it — copies are pulled from the collection's own drops. Mil-Spec finishes make up roughly 79.92% of that collection as a tier.
SSG 08 | Detour Patterns
Every copy shares the same fixed marker layout, so there's no seed-based pattern or blue-gem hunt to be had with the Detour. Wear and float are what actually vary between copies.
StatTrak & Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the Detour exists. It does come as a Souvenir finish, first seen in the ESL One Cologne 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package, with additional Major packages contributing supply at other tournaments since.
SSG 08 | Detour Price
Well-Worn is the cheapest available grade for this finish, since there's no Battle-Scarred option below it, making it the entry point for anyone who wants the design at the lowest cost. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Why doesn't the Detour have a Battle-Scarred version?
The finish's float is capped at 0.43, well short of the 0.63-plus range where Battle-Scarred typically kicks in, so the game simply never generates a copy worn enough to qualify. Well-Worn is as rough as the Detour gets.
Is Well-Worn the cheapest way to own the Detour?
Yes, since there's no Battle-Scarred grade, Well-Worn is the lowest-priced option available for this finish, making it the go-to pick for buyers who care about price above all else.
Does the Well-Worn Detour still look intentional?
Mostly, yes. There's visible grime and some paint thinning on the white base, but the marker scribbles stay legible, and the float cap keeps the wear from reaching the truly rough end other skins can hit at this name.
