Tec-9 | Army Mesh (Field-Tested)

Tec-9 | Army Mesh (Field-Tested)

The Tec-9 | Army Mesh (Field-Tested, FT) shows the finish's mesh-stenciled spray pattern with an honest amount of surface wear. Field-Tested is the most common way players run this Consumer Grade Tec-9 skin.

Design

The freehand spray-paint here was applied through a mesh-fabric stencil, a Valve-made finish that leaves a mottled, woven texture across the frame rather than a clean printed image — a simple, tactile take on camouflage.

Tec-9 | Army Mesh (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

This finish runs across a 0.00–0.60 float range, and Field-Tested sits in the middle of it. Expect visible scuffing on raised edges and around the grip, though the busy mesh texture does a decent job of absorbing minor scratches. The 0.60 cap means even this pistol's roughest copies stay short of a full 1.0 float.

Tec-9 | Army Mesh Rarity

Rarity-wise it's Consumer Grade, the white tier at the base of the standard rarity ladder and the most commonly seen classification overall.

Tec-9 | Army Mesh Case and Collection

This finish comes from The Safehouse Collection, released with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update in November 2013. There's no case tied to it — it's obtained through collection drops and trade-ups rather than opened from a box.

Tec-9 | Army Mesh Patterns

The pattern is fixed on every copy, so the paint-seed number makes no visual difference — the mesh stencil sits the same way regardless. There's no rare seed or "blue gem" version to look for on this finish.

StatTrak & Souvenir

No StatTrak version was ever made for this finish, but a Souvenir version exists next to the regular one. The DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package introduced it, and it later appeared in further Major souvenir packages, since Souvenir drops only ever come from tournaments.

Tec-9 | Army Mesh Price

Field-Tested lands in the middle of the price ladder, cheaper than Minimal Wear (MW) and Factory New (FN) while still carrying a premium tag among Tec-9 finishes. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Field-Tested a good balance of price and looks on this skin?

For most buyers, yes. The mesh texture hides light scuffing reasonably well, so a Field-Tested copy doesn't look drastically worse than Minimal Wear, and it costs noticeably less. It's the grade most players end up with in practice.

Does the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package matter for buying this skin?

Not for a regular copy — that package (and later Major packages) only produced the separate Souvenir variant. The Field-Tested finish described here is the standard, non-Souvenir version and doesn't require any tournament package to obtain.

Why is there no StatTrak Army Mesh?

Valve simply never released a StatTrak version of this finish — it only exists as a regular and a Souvenir variant. If a confirmed-kill counter matters to you, you'd need a different Tec-9 finish that does offer StatTrak.
