Tec-9 | Ice Cap (Factory New)

Tec-9 | Ice Cap (Factory New)

The Tec-9 | Ice Cap (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec pistol skin wrapped in a blue and white abstract hydrographic. Factory New is the top grade it comes in, showing the swirling pattern at its most vivid.

Design

The Ice Cap wraps the Tec-9 in a blue and white abstract hydrographic, a cool, frosty pattern that gives the compact pistol a wintry look without any extra graphics layered on top. It's a community design by Nordcrisp, and it ships with a fitting flavor line: "Submerge the opposition."

Tec-9 | Ice Cap (Factory New) Float and Wear

The finish runs from a float of 0.00 up to 0.50, so it never reaches the harsher end of the wear scale even at its worst. At Factory New, right at the bottom of that range, the blue and white swirls sit crisp and the white sections stay bright with no visible scuffing. This is the sharpest the abstract pattern ever looks.

Tec-9 | Ice Cap Rarity

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — one of the more common weapon grades, sitting below Restricted, Classified, and Covert. It's an easy pull compared to the rarer colors above it.

Tec-9 | Ice Cap Case and Collection

This finish belongs to The Gamma Collection and drops from the Gamma Case, which launched with the Gamma Exposure update in June 2016. Mil-Spec skins make up the bulk of any case's contents, so the Ice Cap unboxes at the tier's base rate rather than a rare-drop odds figure.

Tec-9 | Ice Cap Patterns

The abstract hydrographic is a fixed design — the paint-seed index doesn't change how it looks, so every copy carries the same swirl of blue and white. There's no "best pattern" or blue-gem seed to chase here; wear and float are what separate one copy from the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

The Ice Cap exists as a regular finish and as a StatTrak version, which tracks confirmed kills permanently. There's no Souvenir copy — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and this finish was never offered in one.

Tec-9 | Ice Cap Price

Factory New sits at the top of the Ice Cap's price ladder as the priciest grade available, though the finish overall stays a budget pick even at its best. It's a cheap way to get a distinctive-looking Tec-9 in the best condition it offers. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear on the Ice Cap?

Not by much. Since the whole finish is capped at a 0.50 float, even Minimal Wear looks close to flawless, so the price bump for Factory New buys a fairly small visual gain. Budget-focused buyers can comfortably drop a grade without losing much of the look.

Why is the Ice Cap capped below full wear?

Valve sets a maximum float for every finish, and the Ice Cap's ceiling is 0.50 instead of the usual 1.00. That means even its roughest copies stay milder than a fully worn skin, which is why the pattern still reads clearly across every grade.

Which gloves go with the Ice Cap?

The blue and white palette pairs naturally with icy or cool-toned gloves, so a light-blue or white pair keeps the loadout matching. It also sits fine next to darker gloves if you want the pistol's frosty look to stand out by contrast.
