Tec-9 | VariCamo (Well-Worn)
The Tec-9 | VariCamo (Well-Worn) shows its mottled camouflage hydrographic under noticeably more surface damage. It's a cheaper step down for this Industrial Grade pistol skin, aimed at buyers who want the look without the mid-tier price.
Design
This is a VariCamo patterned hydrographic through and through — a mottled, multi-tone camo wrap with nothing extra layered on. Designed by Valve, it comes with the flavor text "Rebuilding only comes in the wake of destruction."
Tec-9 | VariCamo (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Well-Worn climbs higher on the VariCamo's 0–0.60 range, and the wear turns obvious — visible scuffing and paint loss spread across the body. It sits just above Battle-Scarred, the finish's roughest and cheapest grade, where the 0.60 cap keeps things milder than an uncapped skin.
Tec-9 | VariCamo Rarity
Rarity here is Industrial Grade, the light-blue tier — ahead of Consumer Grade but trailing well behind Mil-Spec, Restricted, Classified, and Covert.
Tec-9 | VariCamo Case and Collection
The VariCamo sits in The Dust 2 Collection, tied to the "Out with the old, in with the new" update, and carries no dedicated case — it's obtained through the Dust 2 map's collection drop pool, trading, or crafting.
Tec-9 | VariCamo Patterns
There's no seed-based variation here; the mottled camo is locked in place on every copy, so wear and float remain the only meaningful differences between units.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You won't find a StatTrak VariCamo. A Souvenir version is real, though, first distributed in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and reissued through later Major souvenir packages since.
Tec-9 | VariCamo Price
Well-Worn costs less than Field-Tested, giving up a bit of visual condition for a lower entry price on this affordable mid-tier finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Well-Worn VariCamo look?
Fairly worn — expect visible scuffing and paint thinning across the body, more than Field-Tested but not as extreme as Battle-Scarred. The mottled pattern stays recognizable throughout, just visibly rougher at the edges.
Is Well-Worn a smart buy over Field-Tested?
Mainly if price matters most. Well-Worn sits below Field-Tested on the ladder, trading a bit of surface polish for a lower cost, which suits buyers who want the look for less and don't mind the extra wear.
Does the VariCamo ever reach the most extreme wear?
Not quite. Its float caps at 0.60, so even the roughest copies — found here and at Battle-Scarred — stop well short of the total paint loss an uncapped 0.00–1.00 skin could show.
