Tec-9 | Snek-9 (Factory New)
The Tec-9 | Snek-9 (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec pistol skin dressed in a coral-snake-inspired paint job of red and yellow banding. Factory New shows that pattern at its sharpest, right at the top of the finish's price range.
Design
Community artist PTP built the Snek-9 around coral snake markings, wrapping the Tec-9 in bold red and yellow bands. It's backed by the flavor line "If red meets yellow, you're a dead fellow," a nod to the classic warning coloration the reptile theme is drawing from.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 (Factory New) Float and Wear
The Snek-9's float spans the full 0.00 to 1.00 range, and Factory New sits right at the bottom of it. Here the red and yellow bands stay vivid with essentially no surface wear, showing the coral snake pattern exactly as designed.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue and most common tier a weapon case pays out. It's an easy pull, sitting below the case's Restricted, Classified, and Covert grades.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 Case and Collection
This finish is part of The Horizon Collection and drops from the Horizon Case, which arrived with the A New Horizon update in August 2018. Mil-Spec skins make up around 79.92% of that case's total outcomes as a group, and since the Horizon Case is no longer active, most Snek-9 copies today come from the market rather than fresh unboxes.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 Patterns
The coral-snake bands are fixed across every copy of the Snek-9, so there's no paint-seed roll and no "blue gem" pattern to search for. Only wear and float distinguish one copy from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
This finish exists as a regular finish and a StatTrak version, the StatTrak edition adding a permanent confirmed-kill counter once it's earned. There's no Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and this finish was never offered in one.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 Price
Factory New tops the Snek-9's price ladder as the sharpest-looking grade, though the finish as a whole stays affordable mid-tier even at its best. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth the extra cost on the Snek-9?
If you want the red and yellow bands as bright and crisp as possible, yes — Factory New shows the coral snake pattern at its best. Minimal Wear looks close enough for most players at a somewhat lower price.
What case does the Snek-9 come from?
It drops from the Horizon Case, released with the A New Horizon update in August 2018. That case is no longer active, so most copies today are bought directly off the market.
Does the Snek-9 have random pattern variation?
No — every copy carries the same coral-snake bands in the same positions, so there's no seed to chase and no "best pattern" version. Wear and float are the only things that change from copy to copy.
