Design

Valve describes it plainly: parts of the weapon have been replaced with brass, and that's the entire concept — a metal accent against black plastic, no extra artwork involved. Valve made this one, and the in-game flavor text, "Fool's gold," fits the humble-but-shiny metal theme.

How dull does the brass look at Well-Worn?

Fairly dull. The metal loses much of its shine and the black plastic shows real scuffing, so the finish reads muted rather than eye-catching. It's still clearly the Brass finish, just without the bright contrast the top grades show off.

Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?

Mainly if budget is the deciding factor. Field-Tested keeps noticeably more shine for a modest price increase, so most buyers lean that way. Well-Worn makes sense if you want the design as cheaply as possible without going all the way to Battle-Scarred.

Does the Tec-9 | Brass come in a Souvenir version?

Yes. Alongside the regular finish, a Souvenir copy exists, first handed out in the ESL One Cologne 2014 Inferno Souvenir Package and later reissued in additional Major-tournament souvenir packages over the years. There's still no StatTrak version of either.
