USP-S | Cyrex (Factory New)
The USP-S | Cyrex (Factory New) is a Restricted-grade pistol skin — a black body cut by sharp red and white geometry with a counter-terrorist icon on the slide. Factory New is the cleanest grade it comes in, showing the tech-styled linework at its most exact.
Design
Cyrex leans into a futuristic, engineered look: a black frame overlaid with angular red and white stripes and geometric blocks, with white picking out the trigger guard, the grip base, and the lower slide. A small CT gunner icon sits on the slide alongside technical markings, giving it a polished cyber-military identity. It's a community design by the artist Nextgenz, and it carries an in-game line: "Imogen was the past Felix, I'm the future - Huxley, The Competition".
USP-S | Cyrex (Factory New) Float and Wear
Float runs 0.00–0.55 across the finish, and at Factory New a copy sits right at the bottom of that scale. Here the red-and-white paneling reads razor-sharp against the black, with the segmented color blocks and fine linework fully intact and no scuffing to break up the symmetry. If you want the design exactly as intended, this is the grade to reach for.
USP-S | Cyrex Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, sitting in the middle of the standard weapon grades above Mil-Spec and below Classified. It's a solid, recognizable grade to pull from a case.
USP-S | Cyrex Case and Collection
Cyrex belongs to The Glove Collection and drops from the Glove Case, which arrived with the Brothers In Arms update in November 2016. The Restricted tier as a whole unboxes about 15.98% of the time from the case (a rate shared across the tier's skins), and since the Glove Case is still around, copies come from both unboxing and the market.
USP-S | Cyrex Patterns
There's no random pattern variation on Cyrex — the red-and-white geometry and the CT slide icon land in the same place on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt. Wear and float are the only things that separate one from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ USP-S | Cyrex exists and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a rarer, pricier drop than the standard skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over when the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and the Glove Case was never a Major drop.
USP-S | Cyrex Price
Factory New sits at the top of the Cyrex price ladder as the highest grade available — a step above Minimal Wear, but still an affordable mid-tier pistol rather than a grail-money purchase. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear?
It depends on how exacting you are. Factory New keeps the red-and-white geometry razor-sharp with zero surface scuffing, but Minimal Wear looks nearly identical at a glance for less. Pay up if you want the finish at its most precise; otherwise Minimal Wear is the smarter value.
What does the Cyrex actually look like?
It's a black pistol overlaid with angular red and white stripes and geometric blocks, with white on the trigger guard, grip base, and lower slide. A CT gunner icon and technical markings sit on the slide, giving it a sleek, high-tech, cyber-military feel that stands out without looking busy.
Which gloves go with the Cyrex?
Its black-red-white palette suits a high-contrast loadout, so red or black gloves work best — a red pair picks up the accent stripes, while black or white-trimmed wraps echo the frame. It pairs naturally with other red-and-black tactical skins for a coordinated CT setup.
