USP-S | Dark Water (Minimal Wear)
The USP-S | Dark Water (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted pistol skin — an aquatic-stripe pattern in charcoal metallic paint laid over a chrome base. Because the finish never rolls in Factory New, Minimal Wear is the highest grade it comes in.
Design
Dark Water is a Valve design built around depth rather than color: an aquatic-stripe pattern painted in charcoal metallic paints of varying reflectivity, all sitting over a chrome base coat that gives the darker tones a wet, metallic sheen. It ships with a fitting in-game line: "Water gives life, but it can also take it..."
USP-S | Dark Water (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
This finish is float-capped at 0.10 on the low end, so no Factory New exists and Minimal Wear is the top grade available. At this level the charcoal stripes stay deep and the chrome undertone reads sharp, with only faint edge wear if any. The whole range spans just float 0.10–0.26, so even the lowest grade sits far from a beat-up look — Minimal Wear simply gets you the tightest surface the skin allows.
USP-S | Dark Water Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, sitting in the middle of the standard weapon grades above Mil-Spec and below Classified. It's a step up from the common blues you pull most often.
USP-S | Dark Water Case and Collection
The skin belongs to The Arms Deal Collection and drops from the CS:GO Weapon Case, the very first case, released with the Arms Deal update in August 2013. The Restricted tier as a whole unboxes about 15.98% of the time from the case (that rate is shared across the tier's skins), and since this original case sits well outside the active drop pool, supply is fixed — most copies change hands on the market rather than getting unboxed.
USP-S | Dark Water Patterns
There's no random pattern variation to chase here — the aquatic stripes and chrome base land the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" lottery. Wear and float are the only things that separate one Dark Water from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version exists and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it comes from the CS:GO Weapon Case as a rarer, pricier drop than the standard skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over when the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir edition — Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this skin was never part of one.
USP-S | Dark Water Price
Minimal Wear sits at the top of this skin's short price ladder as the highest grade on offer, a clear step above Field-Tested. It's a premium pick within the USP-S lineup that still stops short of grail money. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Minimal Wear worth it over Field-Tested?
If you want the darkest, most defined version of the aquatic pattern, yes — Minimal Wear is the top grade and keeps the chrome undertone at its sharpest. That said, the range is so tight that a Field-Tested copy looks close for less, so pay the premium mainly if best-in-class condition matters to you.
Why is there no Factory New USP-S | Dark Water?
The finish is float-capped at 0.10 on the low end, and the game never rolls a copy below that. Factory New needs a float under 0.07, so it simply can't exist for this skin — Minimal Wear is the highest grade it reaches.
Which gloves go with Dark Water?
Its charcoal-and-chrome palette suits a dark, muted loadout, so black, gunmetal, or gray gloves work best — think Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono only if you want a pop, but neutral gray or black wraps keep the stealthy, tactical vibe the finish is going for.
