USP-S | Monster Mashup (Battle-Scarred)
The USP-S | Monster Mashup (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified pistol skin — custom green-monster graffiti and a pearlescent silencer — in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into a standout USP-S design, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.
Design
Monster Mashup fills the frame with a cartoon green monster and a cluster of icons inspired by popular urban art, painted over a custom base, while the silencer gets its own pearlescent treatment. Designed by community artist Nextgenz, it ships with the in-game line "X__X".
USP-S | Monster Mashup (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
At the top of the 0.00–0.70 float scale, Battle-Scarred wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, and the artwork is worn thin in places. Because the finish is capped at 0.70 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear a full-range skin would show. The green monster stays as the anchor that keeps the design readable even here.
USP-S | Monster Mashup Rarity
Rarity: Classified, the pink tier. It sits directly below Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades, and it's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.
USP-S | Monster Mashup Case and Collection
The skin sits in The Operation Broken Fang Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Broken Fang Case, released together with Operation Broken Fang in December 2020. As a group the Classified tier drops around 3.2% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the case is out of the active drop pool, supply is fixed — the market, not unboxing, is where most copies come from.
USP-S | Monster Mashup Patterns
Since the monster and its icons sit the same way on every copy, the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt for. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also track down a StatTrak™ version, which tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and pricier than the standard drop, and the counter is permanent, following the item through every trade or sale. There's no Souvenir variant — Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament packages, and this finish has never featured as a Major drop.
USP-S | Monster Mashup Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the mashup design for players who care more about the look than the condition. If you want this loud, playful USP-S for as little as possible, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred copy still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing, the green monster centerpiece and the bright urban icons keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the artwork entirely — the dense design carries a lot of it.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred copy look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.70 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never hit the most extreme wear. Combined with a busy, high-contrast paint job that absorbs damage, the mashup stays more legible here than many simpler, lighter-colored skins do at the same grade.
Which gloves go with the Monster Mashup?
Its green-and-graffiti palette suits a playful street-art loadout — green or multicolor gloves echo the monster and urban icons, while a plain white or gray pair keeps the focus on the artwork. This is a skin that rewards leaning into the color rather than muting it.
