USP-S | The Traitor (Well-Worn)

USP-S | The Traitor (Well-Worn)

The USP-S | The Traitor (Well-Worn) is a Covert pistol skin with a dramatic red finish taken from the Hanged Man tarot card, here in a more battle-worn state. It's a cheaper route into a grail-tier USP-S design, with wear the busy artwork still partly disguises.

Design

At its heart the finish is a bold red illustration, custom painted using the Hanged Man tarot card as inspiration — thematic and detailed rather than a plain coat. It began as a community submission from Zaphk, OniLolz, and 2Minds, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Past failures are the blueprints for future success."

USP-S | The Traitor (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

On the 0.00–1.00 scale, Well-Worn sits near the high end. The finish shows clear scuffing and paint loss across the slide and edges, where the red thins out. The artwork still holds as the standout, but there's no hiding that this is a worn grade — a fair trade for players who care more about price than a polished surface.

USP-S | The Traitor Rarity

Rarity: Covert, the red tier — the top grade of standard weapon skin, ranked just beneath the knives. It's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.

USP-S | The Traitor Case and Collection

Part of The Snakebite Collection, The Traitor drops from the Snakebite Case that arrived with the End of Broken Fang update back in May 2021. The Covert tier as a group unboxes about 0.64% of the time (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), so it stays a scarce pull regardless of condition.

USP-S | The Traitor Patterns

Because the red artwork sits the same way on every copy, the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to look for. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ version does exist and brings a confirmed-kill counter along; it's a rarer, more expensive drop from the Snakebite Case than the standard skin, and that counter is permanent, carrying over whenever the item is traded or sold. A Souvenir variant was never produced — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and the Snakebite Case has never been a Major drop.

USP-S | The Traitor Price

Well-Worn sits low on the price ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget way into the design for players who won't pay the higher-grade premium. It's one of the cheaper routes to a genuine Traitor, on a finish that otherwise runs grail-tier. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Well-Worn Traitor look?

Noticeably. Expect visible scratches and thinning paint on the slide and edges — more than Field-Tested but short of the heavy battering at Battle-Scarred. The dense red artwork keeps it recognizable, so it still reads clearly as The Traitor in-game despite the wear.

Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?

Only if price leads your decision. Field-Tested looks a fair bit better for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred.

Which gloves go with The Traitor?

Its dramatic red palette calls for a warm, high-contrast loadout, so red or black gloves work best — a red pair echoes the finish, while black wraps let the artwork pop. It slots neatly into a red-themed setup alongside other crimson skins.
