XM1014 | Halftone Shift (Well-Worn)

XM1014 | Halftone Shift (Well-Worn)

The XM1014 | Halftone Shift (Well-Worn) is a Mil-Spec shotgun with a gray body and a multicolored halftone print, shown in a more faded, weathered state. It's a low-cost route into the graphic-design look for players who don't mind visible wear.

Design

At its core the finish is a multicolored halftone graphic — shading dots that read like printed artwork — over a gray shotgun body. It's a Valve creation with a clean, modern feel, right down to the tongue-in-cheek tag about a zoo displaying art instead of animals.

XM1014 | Halftone Shift (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

Well-Worn sits high on the finish's 0.00–0.60 float scale. Wear is clearly present here — scratches and paint thinning spread across the body and edges — yet the busy halftone print keeps the design readable and its colors alive. It's the grade for buyers who prioritize price over a pristine surface.

XM1014 | Halftone Shift Rarity

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier, which is the most common of the colored weapon classes. As a common grade, it's never hard to track down a copy.

XM1014 | Halftone Shift Case and Collection

Coming from The Graphic Design Collection, this shotgun debuted with The Armory update in October 2024. It sits at the Mil-Spec tier — the most common in the set — so its skins stay plentiful and cheap wherever they trade.

XM1014 | Halftone Shift Patterns

With a fixed design, the paint seed makes no difference to this skin — the halftone print lands identically on every copy. There's no rare or blue-gem seed waiting in the pool, so wear grade is the sole thing to weigh when picking one out.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You won't find a StatTrak edition of this shotgun. Kill counters are added only to case-unboxed skins, and this collection has no case to produce them. A Souvenir version is missing too, since those come strictly from Major-tournament packages, none of which featured this finish.

XM1014 | Halftone Shift Price

Well-Worn sits near the floor of the price ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred. For an affordable mid-tier finish, this is close to the cheapest a recognizable copy gets. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn is the Well-Worn grade?

Distinctly worn. Expect scratches and thinned paint across the shotgun, more than Field-Tested but not as brutal as Battle-Scarred. The dense halftone print keeps the design legible, so it still reads as the Halftone Shift — just used rather than fresh out of the case.

Should I buy Well-Worn instead of Field-Tested?

Only if you want the lowest price. Field-Tested looks meaningfully better for a small step up in cost, so most players prefer it. Well-Worn is the pick when you want this finish as cheap as possible without dropping all the way to the roughest Battle-Scarred grade.

Do the colors survive the wear?

Yes. The multicolored halftone print stays the dominant feature even at this grade — the dot pattern is too dense to be washed out by scuffing. The surface looks used, but the shotgun remains clearly the Halftone Shift when you spot it in your hands in-game.
