XM1014 | Watchdog (Minimal Wear)
The XM1014 | Watchdog (Minimal Wear) is a Mil-Spec shotgun skin — jade green with a trio of guardian lions painted across the shell. Minimal Wear keeps the artwork looking nearly untouched while sitting a step below Factory New on price.
Design
Built on a jade green base, the finish features two lions watching in opposite directions plus a third below the rear sight — an Eastern-inspired guardian motif in green and brown hues. The community artist Zaphk designed it, and it ships with a fitting line: "Protect and prosper."
XM1014 | Watchdog (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
Within the finish's full 0.00–1.00 float range, Minimal Wear sits toward the cleaner end. The jade green stays rich here and the lion detail holds up, with only the faintest wear on the sharpest edges. For most buyers it's the value grade near the top of the ladder.
XM1014 | Watchdog Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade. That's the blue tier — the entry rung of the colored weapon grades and a common class, which is a big reason the finish stays affordable.
XM1014 | Watchdog Case and Collection
Part of The Operation Riptide Collection, this shotgun comes out of the Operation Riptide Case that launched with Operation Riptide in September 2021. Across the case the Mil-Spec tier pulls at roughly 79.92% (a figure shared among the tier's skins), so copies are easy to find on the market as well as from unboxing.
XM1014 | Watchdog Patterns
The finish has no random pattern variation — the lions and jade base are placed identically on each copy, meaning there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Copies differ only by their wear and float values.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Alongside the standard finish there's a StatTrak edition, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; that count is permanent and never gets wiped when the shotgun changes owners. No Souvenir version was ever produced, since those come strictly from Major-tournament packages and this finish wasn't part of one.
XM1014 | Watchdog Price
Minimal Wear sits a notch under Factory New while looking almost as fresh, making it the smart-value grade for buyers who want the artwork near-flawless without paying the top rate. It reads as premium within the XM1014 lineup yet stays an easy buy. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Minimal Wear a better buy than Factory New?
For value, usually yes. Minimal Wear looks almost identical to Factory New — the busy lion design masks the tiny bit of edge wear well — but costs less. Choose Factory New only if you want the deepest color and sharpest detail; otherwise this grade gives you nearly the same look for less.
How worn does the shotgun look at this grade?
Hardly worn. Minimal Wear shows only faint scuffing on the sharpest edges, and the jade green and lion artwork stay rich and legible. From normal in-game distance it reads as good as new, which suits a finish this detailed.
Is there a best pattern to look for?
No. The Watchdog is a fixed-design finish, so the lions appear the same on every copy no matter the paint seed. There's no rare variant or blue-gem roll to hunt — your only real decision is which wear grade and float value fit your budget.
