★ M9 Bayonet | Autotronic (Well-Worn)
The ★ M9 Bayonet | Autotronic (Well-Worn) is the same Covert ★ knife finish — anodized red over a steel mesh blade — but carrying noticeably more visible aging than the mid-range grades. It sits second from the bottom of this finish's wear ladder.
Design
The red anodized coating and mesh-built blade define Autotronic at every wear level, this being one of Valve's more mechanical, non-painted knife looks. The mesh structure remains visible here, even as the red anodizing loses a bit of its punch.
★ M9 Bayonet | Autotronic (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Well-Worn sits toward the upper end of Autotronic's 0.00–0.85 float range, so the anodized red visibly dulls and the mesh edges look softer than on the cleaner grades. Because the range stops at 0.85 instead of running to a full 1.00, this is about as rough as the finish gets — there's no deeper Battle-Scarred-level extreme waiting beyond it. Well-Worn occupies the 0.38–0.45 float band.
M9 Bayonet | Autotronic Rarity
Rarity: Covert ★, the gold-tier rare special ("knife") slot that stands above regular Covert weapon drops. That status doesn't change with wear — a Well-Worn copy is exactly as rare a pull as any other grade.
M9 Bayonet | Autotronic Case and Collection
Autotronic comes from the Gamma Case and Gamma 2 Case rather than one specific collection. Rare-special ("knife") pulls land around 0.26% per case across both, so most Well-Worn copies in circulation were bought, not opened.
M9 Bayonet Autotronic Patterns
No pattern chase applies here — Autotronic's design is fixed no matter the paint seed, so every copy has the identical red anodized look. Well-Worn just adds visible aging on top of that same base finish; there's nothing seed-related to look for.
StatTrak & Souvenir
StatTrak is offered on this wear as well, permanently logging confirmed kills that stay with the knife through any trade. Souvenir was never an option for this finish, since knives are excluded from Major-tournament souvenir packages entirely.
M9 Bayonet | Autotronic Price
Well-Worn is one of the cheaper ways into Autotronic, sitting near the bottom of its own price ladder even though the finish as a whole still ranks among the priciest for this knife. It's a lower-cost entry point into a grail-tier finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the M9 Bayonet Autotronic Well-Worn actually look?
It shows clearly more fading on the red anodizing than the middle grades, with softer mesh edges, but since the finish's float caps at 0.85 rather than 1.00, it never reaches the harshest wear a full-range skin could hit. It's rough, not ruined.
Is Well-Worn the cheapest way to get the Autotronic?
It's very close to the bottom of the finish's own price ladder, just above Battle-Scarred, so yes — it's one of the more accessible ways into this grail-tier finish, even though the finish overall stays pricey relative to other M9 Bayonet options.
Does the seed or pattern change on a worn Autotronic?
No. The fixed design means wear only affects visible aging, not the underlying look — every copy, worn or not, carries the same red anodized coating and mesh detailing regardless of paint seed.
