★ Skeleton Knife | Damascus Steel (Well-Worn)
The ★ Skeleton Knife | Damascus Steel (Well-Worn) is a Covert knife skin with a layered, forged-metal finish, shown in a more heavily used state. It's a more accessible step toward owning this finish, priced below the mid-range grades.
Design
The layered, rippled surface on Damascus Steel comes from the forging technique it borrows its name from, giving the blade a textured, metallic look rather than a painted design. It keeps the same subdued character across every wear grade.
★ Skeleton Knife | Damascus Steel (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Well-Worn covers 0.38-0.45 on the float scale, the second-most-worn of the finish's available grades. Noticeable scratching and a rougher texture show up here, and just above this grade Battle-Scarred is where the finish's 0.50 float cap comes into play, keeping even the roughest copies short of the most extreme wear.
Skeleton Knife | Damascus Steel Rarity
This finish is Covert star - a rare special ("knife") item and the gold-tier category of case drop, distinct from a regular weapon skin. Any knife pull is uncommon, and Damascus Steel is one of several finishes that can come up within that rare pool.
Skeleton Knife | Damascus Steel Case and Collection
The Fever Case produces this finish. Rare special items overall land at about 0.26% of case openings, a rate that covers the whole knife pool rather than this finish specifically, with the finish then rolled separately.
Skeleton Knife Patterns
Damascus Steel's layered look is identical on every copy - there's no paint-seed variation and no rare "gem" pattern to look for. Wear and float remain the only real differences between one copy and the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Because this finish drops from a case, a StatTrak™ version exists with a permanent kill counter that stays attached through trades and sales. Souvenir isn't an option, since that variant is only created from Major-tournament packages and knives never appear in those.
Skeleton Knife | Damascus Steel Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the Damascus Steel ladder, a more accessible way into the finish for buyers who don't need the cleanest grade, even though every grade of this knife remains a premium item. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How rough does Well-Worn Damascus Steel look?
Noticeably worn - expect visible scratching and a duller, less even texture compared to Field-Tested, though the layered pattern stays recognizable. It sits above Battle-Scarred in condition but well below the two cleanest grades.
Is Well-Worn a smart pick over Field-Tested?
It depends on priorities. Field-Tested looks noticeably sharper for a moderate price increase, so it suits most buyers, while Well-Worn works for anyone chasing the lowest possible price short of Battle-Scarred.
Why is Battle-Scarred the only grade rougher than this one?
Because Damascus Steel is float-capped at 0.50 rather than the full 1.00, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are the only two grades that fall past Field-Tested - the finish simply never generates a copy worn enough to need anything beyond those two.
