Design

Valve's take on the Anolis wraps the weapon in a green-and-black scale hydrographic, chasing a reptilian look through texture rather than bold artwork. The reference to "Painted to scale" in its flavor text ties the whole idea together.

Float on the Anolis tops out at 0.50 rather than the full 1.00 ceiling, so even the worst copies stay milder than a fully worn skin would. Battle-Scarred still shows heavy scuffing and a duller green-black contrast, but it never reaches the extreme chipped-paint look some other finishes hit at this grade.
