AK-47 | Hydroponic (Minimal Wear)

AK-47 | Hydroponic (Minimal Wear)

The AK-47 | Hydroponic (Minimal Wear) is a Classified rifle skin with a light, near-white body and a green bamboo and cannabis-leaf motif. Minimal Wear sits just below Factory New, keeping the pale base clean and the foliage vivid, so it's a near-pristine take on a scarce finish for a little less than the top grade.

Design

A Valve design, Hydroponic wraps the AK-47's light, almost white body in a green bamboo-and-cannabis-leaf graphic, the metallic paints giving the foliage a faint sheen. Its natural, botanical theme makes it a real outlier among the darker, busier AK finishes. There's even a slice of in-game lore, which credits a fictional gunsmith, Yukako, for the "verdant theme."

AK-47 | Hydroponic (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

The finish spans a float range of 0.00–0.80, stopping at 0.80 instead of the maximum 1.0. Minimal Wear occupies the low end just above Factory New, so only faint edge scuffing creeps in — on the near-white body that's about as tidy as the skin gets without paying the top grade. The leaf motif stays vivid across the receiver.

AK-47 | Hydroponic Rarity

This finish is Classified — the pink tier, which sits second from the top of the standard weapon grades, one step under Covert. Pulling one from a case is genuinely uncommon.

AK-47 | Hydroponic Case and Collection

Hydroponic belongs to The Rising Sun Collection, which arrived with Operation Bloodhound on May 26, 2015. It's a collection drop, not a case skin — no Hydroponic weapon case was ever made, so copies originated in Bloodhound-era drops and today trade almost entirely on the market. Being a Classified makes it one of the scarcer finishes in that collection.

AK-47 | Hydroponic Patterns

There's no random pattern variation on Hydroponic — the bamboo-and-leaf motif lands the same way on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth chasing. Only wear and float set one copy apart from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

Hydroponic exists as a standard finish only — no StatTrak version was made, so there's no kill-counter variant of the skin. A Souvenir version is off the table too, since Souvenir weapons come solely from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and Hydroponic's case and collection were never part of a Major drop.

AK-47 | Hydroponic Price

Minimal Wear sits just under Factory New on the price ladder — a small step down in cost for a look that stays nearly untouched. It's still firmly in high-end, grail-tier territory for the AK-47, since even at this grade the skin is a scarce finish from a discontinued collection. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Minimal Wear worth it over Factory New?

If you want a near-pristine Hydroponic without paying the top grade's premium, yes. Minimal Wear keeps the pale base tidy and the leaf motif crisp, with wear that's hard to spot in-game. Factory New is the flawless benchmark, but the visual gap is small — so this grade is the smarter buy for most players chasing the finish.

How does the Minimal Wear Hydroponic hold up?

Impressively well. On a light body, Minimal Wear shows only faint scuffing along the edges, and the green foliage stays vivid across the receiver and stock. It reads as essentially pristine at normal viewing distance, which is what makes it such a popular alternative to the pricier Factory New.

Why is a Minimal Wear Hydroponic still costly?

Because scarcity drives the price as much as condition. Hydroponic is a Classified from the long-retired Rising Sun Collection, so supply is fixed and demand for this distinctive design keeps every grade expensive. Minimal Wear trims a little off the Factory New cost but stays in grail-tier range.
