AK-47 | Neon Rider (Battle-Scarred)
The AK-47 | Neon Rider (Battle-Scarred) is a Covert rifle skin with a synthwave, '80s-arcade design — glowing pink and teal over black geometric shapes, a helmeted biker on the magazine and receiver, and a neon starburst sunset — in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into a flashy, sought-after AK, trading the brightest neon for the lowest entry price.
Design
Neon Rider is a synthwave riot: hot pink and magenta set against teal and cyan with deep purple, all over black geometric shapes, plus a helmeted biker running down the magazine and receiver inside a neon starburst sunset and deep violet on the muzzle and controls. Designed for the community by Puffin, SIR, and Medic!, it even carries a fitting in-game line: "Two parts Trapper Keeper, three parts synthesizer."
AK-47 | Neon Rider (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, and the neon reads at its most muted, since the glow only pops on low-float copies. The biker and starburst survive as the details that keep the skin readable. This finish is capped at 0.80, so it never reaches the extreme end of the float scale, and the design stays recognizable even at its roughest.
AK-47 | Neon Rider Rarity
Rarity: Covert, the red tier and top grade for standard weapon skins. The Covert AKs are what players chase hardest, and Neon Rider is one of them.
AK-47 | Neon Rider Case and Collection
The AK-47 | Neon Rider is a member of The Horizon Collection and is pulled from the Horizon Case, which shipped with the "A New Horizon" update in August 2018. The Covert tier as a whole drops around 0.64% of the time from the case, making it by far the rarest pull in the box, and most copies are bought on the market rather than unboxed.
AK-47 | Neon Rider Patterns
The AK-47 | Neon Rider carries no random pattern variation at all; the biker, the neon starburst, and the geometric shapes sit identically on each copy, meaning there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to seek out. Wear and float are all that distinguish one Neon Rider from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can find a StatTrak™ AK-47 | Neon Rider, complete with a confirmed-kill counter; it's a rarer, pricier drop from the Horizon Case than the standard skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over when the item changes hands by trade or sale. There's no Souvenir edition — Major-tournament souvenir packages are the only source of Souvenir weapons, and Neon Rider was never part of a Major drop.
AK-47 | Neon Rider Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run this Covert design for players who care more about the look than the condition. If you want the iconic neon biker AK for as little as possible, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Battle-Scarred still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing and the most muted glow of any grade, the black base, the biker, and the neon starburst keep the design clearly readable in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear and dimmer color in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the look entirely.
Why doesn't Battle-Scarred look as trashed as some other skins?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear. The neon does read dimmer here than on cleaner grades, but the biker and starburst artwork stay legible, so the Neon Rider remains identifiable even at its roughest.
Which gloves go with the AK-47 | Neon Rider?
Its neon-on-black palette suits a bright, high-contrast synthwave loadout, so gloves with pink, teal, or purple accents work best — a cyan or magenta pair echoes the starburst, while dark wraps with neon detailing keep the '80s-arcade vibe. Pair it with other vivid, colorful skins rather than muted ones for a cohesive look.
