The AK-47 | Rat Rod (Field-Tested) is a Restricted rifle skin with a rusty, weather-beaten hot-rod body — its original blue topcoat painted over, etched into, and worn away like something salvaged from a wasteland junkyard. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it, and on a finish this distressed the extra wear barely shows.
Design
The look is pure junkyard automotive — salvaged from a wasteland scrapyard, the AK's original blue topcoat has been painted over, etched, and weathered away into a rusty, battered shell. It's community-made by DasDas, Des, and Mia, and carries the apt flavor line "Nowhere to run."
AK-47 | Rat Rod (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the Rat Rod gains light scratching along the edges and magazine, but the finish is designed to look rusted and beaten anyway, so that added wear folds neatly into the artwork instead of standing out. This is the grade most players end up with — the sweet spot between price and looks, since the distressed design shrugs off the extra scuffing.
