AK-47 | Rat Rod (Well-Worn)
The AK-47 | Rat Rod (Well-Worn) is a Restricted rifle skin with a rusty, weather-beaten hot-rod body — its original blue topcoat painted over, etched into, and worn away like salvage from a wasteland junkyard. In this more worn grade the extra scuffing leans right into the finish's already-battered theme, for a cheaper route into the design.
Design
Rat Rod dresses the rifle in a rugged hot-rod aesthetic: recovered from a wasteland junkyard, the original blue topcoat is painted over, etched into, and worn down to bare rust and weathering. Designed by the community trio DasDas, Des, and Mia, it bears the in-game text "Nowhere to run."
AK-47 | Rat Rod (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
At Well-Worn the Rat Rod shows clear scuffing and paint loss across the body — but because the skin is built to look rusted and salvaged, that added wear reads as part of the story rather than damage to a clean paint job. Few finishes wear this gracefully. For players who care about price over pristine condition, this grade delivers the same junkyard hot-rod look for less.
AK-47 | Rat Rod Rarity
Rarity lands at Restricted, the purple tier in the middle band of the standard weapon grades — ranked over Mil-Spec and beneath Classified. As case pulls go, it's moderately uncommon.
AK-47 | Rat Rod Case and Collection
The Rat Rod sits in The Shattered Web Collection and falls from the Shattered Web Case. Restricted-tier drops land roughly 15.98% of the time, so it's among the more reachable grades from that case — but most owners pick theirs up on the market rather than from a personal opening.
AK-47 | Rat Rod Patterns
Because its distressed, painted-over design is fixed across every copy, the Rat Rod offers no random pattern variation — there's no "blue gem" or lucky paint seed to seek. What separates copies is purely wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
The Rat Rod has a StatTrak variant that drops from the Shattered Web Case, adding a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and more expensive than the regular skin, and the counter is permanent, following the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir version was ever produced — those come strictly from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Shattered Web Collection has never featured in a Major drop.
AK-47 | Rat Rod Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the price ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget way into the design for players who don't mind heavier wear. Since it's an affordable mid-tier skin to begin with, this is one of the cheapest ways to run the Rat Rod. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Well-Worn Rat Rod actually look?
More scuffed than Field-Tested, with visible paint loss across the body — but on this skin that reads as intentional. The rusty, salvaged finish is designed to look beaten up, so Well-Worn wear reinforces the theme instead of clashing with it. It still clearly reads as a Rat Rod in-game, just leaning harder into the junkyard aesthetic.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Mostly if price is your priority. Field-Tested is a touch cleaner for a modest step up in cost, so many buyers land there. But because the Rat Rod already looks weathered by design, Well-Worn holds up better than it would on a polished skin — making it a sensible pick when you want the look as cheaply as possible.
Which gloves go with the AK-47 | Rat Rod?
Its rusty, earthy palette suits a warm, grungy loadout, so brown, tan, or muted orange gloves work best — something worn and industrial rather than bright or flashy. A pair of Hydra or Broken Fang gloves in earth tones keeps the junkyard hot-rod vibe consistent across your kit.
