The AK-47 | Redline (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified rifle skin with a black carbon-fiber body and a bold red pinstripe, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into an iconic AK design, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.

Design

Redline keeps things minimal: a dry-transfer red pinstripe running across a black carbon-fiber hydrographic base, an almost automotive look that trades busy graphics for pure contrast. Designed by the community artist EmKay, it ships with a fitting in-game line: "Never be afraid to push it to the limit."

AK-47 | Redline (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, and the carbon texture is worn thin in places. The red pinstripe survives as the anchor that keeps the skin readable. This finish is capped at 0.70, so it never reaches the extreme end of the float scale, and the design stays legible even at its roughest.

AK-47 | Redline Rarity

Rarity: Classified, the pink tier. It sits directly below Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades, and it's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.

AK-47 | Redline Case and Collection

The Redline sits in The Phoenix Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, released together with Operation Phoenix in February 2014. As a group the Classified tier drops around 3.2% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the Operation Phoenix Case is out of the active drop pool, supply is fixed — the market, not unboxing, is where most copies come from.

AK-47 | Redline Patterns

Because the carbon weave and red pinstripe sit the same way on every Redline, the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt for. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from the next.

Is the Battle-Scarred Redline still recognizable?

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing, the black base and bright red pinstripe keep the design clearly readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the look entirely.

Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Redline look completely trashed?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.70 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear. Combined with a dark base that hides damage, the Redline stays more legible here than many lighter-colored skins do.
