AK-47 | Safety Net (Battle-Scarred)
The AK-47 | Safety Net (Battle-Scarred) is a Restricted rifle skin with a high-visibility orange-and-silver mesh over a white base, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the safety-net design, trading a fresh look for the lowest entry price.
Design
This is a Valve-made finish that lays a high-visibility orange-and-silver net pattern across a white base, turning the rifle into something that looks like a safety net stretched over it. It ships with an on-theme in-game line: "Your loadout; now with high visibility."
AK-47 | Safety Net (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, and the white base makes every mark obvious. This finish is capped at 0.60, so it never reaches the extreme end of the float scale, which keeps the orange-and-silver mesh readable even here. If you want the pattern at the lowest cost, the wear is the trade-off.
AK-47 | Safety Net Rarity
Restricted is the rarity here — the purple band that sits between Mil-Spec underneath and Classified overhead in the usual weapon grades. It ranks above the plentiful blue finishes yet isn't one of the rarest drops.
AK-47 | Safety Net Case and Collection
Safety Net is one of the finishes in The 2018 Inferno Collection. Its Restricted status gives it about a 15.98% chance of dropping from the collection's Souvenir packages — first offered as the London 2018 Inferno Souvenir Package — and most examples end up traded on the market rather than freshly opened.
AK-47 | Safety Net Patterns
Pattern-wise, Safety Net is uniform: the mesh sits identically on every unit, so there's no random variation, no paint seed, and no "blue gem" to hunt for. What separates copies is purely their wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There is no StatTrak edition of this skin — StatTrak comes only from weapon cases, and Safety Net is handed out through Major-tournament Souvenir packages rather than a StatTrak-enabled case. What does exist is a Souvenir version. Because Souvenir weapons are exclusive to Major-tournament packages, and Safety Net has shown up in the Inferno Souvenir packages from London 2018 forward, a legitimate Souvenir copy can be found and generally fetches a premium.
AK-47 | Safety Net Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the high-vis design for players who care more about the look than the condition. Since the finish is already an affordable mid-tier pick within the AK-47 lineup, this is about as low as the cost goes for the pattern. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred grade still recognizable?
Yes. Despite heavy scuffing that the white base shows off, the bold orange-and-silver mesh keeps the design clearly readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the safety-net look entirely.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Safety Net reach the roughest wear?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.60 rather than the full 1.0, so its Battle-Scarred copies never hit the most extreme end of the scale. The white base still makes the damage plain, but the mesh pattern stays legible, so the skin reads as Safety Net even at its most worn.
Which gloves go with the AK-47 | Safety Net?
Its orange-and-white, high-visibility palette suits a bright, tactical loadout, so orange, white, or hazard-style gloves work best — an orange pair picks up the mesh, while white or light wraps keep the high-vis look. Pair it with other orange or safety-themed pieces to lean into the theme.
