AUG | Tom Cat (Well-Worn)
The AUG | Tom Cat (Well-Worn) is a Mil-Spec Grade rifle skin with a gunmetal base, gold highlights, and a playful cat design, shown here in a more used state. It's a low-cost way to run this gold-accented look.
Design
The finish combines a gunmetal base coat with gold highlights, rear-facing arrows, and a mischievous-looking cat graphic. Community designer kadzor created it, pairing it with the flavor text "Thunderstorms are nature's purr."
AUG | Tom Cat (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
The Tom Cat's float is capped at 0.80 instead of the full 1.0, so even its roughest copies stay short of maximum wear. At Well-Worn, expect clear scuffing across the gunmetal base and some dulling of the gold highlights, though the cat graphic remains identifiable. It's a meaningfully cheaper way into the finish than the mid grades.
AUG | Tom Cat Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier and most common rarity among CS2's standard weapon grades, making this an easy, budget-friendly finish to track down.
AUG | Tom Cat Case and Collection
The Tom Cat is part of The Prisma 2 Collection, released alongside the Prisma 2 Case in March 2020. Mil-Spec finishes make up around 79.92% of that case's odds, so copies are relatively easy to come by both from unboxing and the market.
AUG | Tom Cat Patterns
Because the gold-and-cat graphic is identical on every copy, there's no random pattern variation on the Tom Cat — no seed number or "blue gem" version to chase. Wear and float are what actually separate copies.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ Tom Cat does exist, dropping from the same Prisma 2 Case, and it carries a permanent kill counter that stays with the item through every trade or sale. No Souvenir version was ever produced, as Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and this finish has never featured in one.
AUG | Tom Cat Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the Tom Cat's price ladder, just above Battle-Scarred, making it one of the cheapest ways to add this affordable mid-tier finish to a loadout. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Well-Worn Tom Cat look?
Noticeably worn, with visible scuffing on the gunmetal base and some dulling of the gold highlights, more than Field-Tested but less than Battle-Scarred. The cat graphic still comes through clearly despite the extra wear.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Mostly if price is your top priority. Field-Tested looks a bit cleaner for only a small price difference, so most buyers lean that way, but Well-Worn works fine if you want the lowest cost short of Battle-Scarred.
Why doesn't Well-Worn look fully extreme?
The Tom Cat's float caps at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, so its worst copies stay milder than a full-range skin's roughest grade. That's part of why the gold accents and cat design stay fairly legible even here.
