AWP | Chrome Cannon (Battle-Scarred)
The AWP | Chrome Cannon (Battle-Scarred) is a Covert sniper skin with a mirror-coat body, orange accents, and a carbon-fiber scope, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the chrome design, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.
Design
Chrome Cannon coats the AWP in mirror paint that shines like polished metal, layered with multicolored orange accents and a carbon-fiber scope for a fast, industrial racing look. Built around heavy-duty motifs, it's a community design by the artist Strenson, and it carries a cheeky caption: "Where'd this come from? Why do you ask?" - Booth, Arms Dealer.
AWP | Chrome Cannon (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and broad paint loss spread across the body, and the reflective coat amplifies every mark while the mirror shine drops away to a dull, beaten surface. The orange accents survive as the detail that keeps the skin readable. This finish runs the full float range up to 1.0, so its worst copies reach genuinely rough territory, yet the design stays identifiable even there.
AWP | Chrome Cannon Rarity
Rarity: Covert — the red tier and the top grade among standard weapon skins, sitting above Classified with just knives and gloves ranked higher. It counts among the rarer grades to come straight out of a case.
AWP | Chrome Cannon Case and Collection
Chrome Cannon is part of The Kilowatt Collection and unboxes from the Kilowatt Case, which launched on February 6, 2024. As a Covert it shares the roughly 0.64% red-tier drop chance across the case's Covert skins — that figure applies to the whole tier, not to this finish alone — leaving it a scarce pull that changes hands on the market far more often than it comes fresh from a case.
AWP | Chrome Cannon Patterns
Chrome Cannon has no random pattern to speak of, with the mirror coat and accents placed identically on every copy and no paint seed or blue gem to seek out. Wear and float are the only traits that set one unit apart from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ variant exists as well, adding a confirmed-kill counter as a rarer, more expensive drop from the Kilowatt Case; the counter logs kills permanently and stays with the item through trades and sales. A Souvenir edition was never produced, because Souvenir weapons come only through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Kilowatt Case was never part of a Major drop.
AWP | Chrome Cannon Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the chrome design for players who care about the look over the condition. If you want the mirror-coat AWP for as little as possible, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred version still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing and lost shine, the orange accents and overall chrome shape keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting obvious wear on the reflective coat in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the mirror look that makes the skin what it is.
Why does wear stand out so much at this grade?
Because the finish is a mirror coat, and reflective surfaces expose damage that a matte camo or carbon base would hide. At Battle-Scarred the float runs to the top of the scale, so the coat dulls heavily and scratches cover the body — the wear simply has nowhere to disappear on a chrome finish.
Which gloves go with Chrome Cannon?
The mirror body and orange accents suit a warm, high-contrast loadout, so orange or tan gloves lock in with the accents, while black or carbon-look wraps echo the scope. A neutral gray pair also works if you'd rather the skin stay the loudest piece.
