AWP | Electric Hive (Minimal Wear)
The AWP | Electric Hive (Minimal Wear) is a Classified sniper skin covered in a blue hexagonal hive pattern with an electric, energetic look. Minimal Wear keeps the honeycomb lattice reading crisply while trimming the cost of the top Factory New grade.
Design
The look is a repeating hexagonal honeycomb wrapped across the AWP as a hydrographic, so the hive lattice sits evenly over the body. Blue tones and an electric, tech-leaning styling drive the whole design, which is a Valve in-house paint job from an earlier era of the game rather than a community Workshop piece.
AWP | Electric Hive (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
At Minimal Wear the finish picks up only the faintest wear along the edges, and the honeycomb lattice stays sharp enough that most copies read as good as Factory New at a glance. The blue tone holds up well at this grade, making Minimal Wear the practical sweet spot between the pristine top exterior and the mid grades below.
AWP | Electric Hive Rarity
Rarity: Classified. That's the pink tier — one step under Covert and second-highest among the standard weapon grades — which makes it a genuinely uncommon pull from any case.
AWP | Electric Hive Case and Collection
This finish is part of The eSports 2013 Winter Collection and comes out of the eSports 2013 Winter Case, which launched alongside the Winter Offensive update on December 18, 2013. Across the case the Classified tier pulls at roughly 3.2% (a figure shared among the tier's skins), and since this old case has left the active drop pool, supply is capped — buyers pick most copies up on the market rather than unboxing them.
AWP | Electric Hive Patterns
There's no random pattern roll on Electric Hive — the hexagon honeycomb is a printed hydrographic, so it lands identically on every copy, which means no paint seed or blue gem is worth hunting. The only things that set copies apart are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There is a StatTrak™ AWP | Electric Hive, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, more expensive drop from the same eSports 2013 Winter Case, and its counter is permanent, staying with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir version exists — Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this skin was never part of one.
AWP | Electric Hive Price
Minimal Wear sits near the top of the Electric Hive ladder, just under Factory New and above the more worn grades — a smart pick for buyers who want a near-pristine hive lattice without paying the top-grade premium. It's one of the better-value ways to run this affordable mid-tier AWP. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Minimal Wear Electric Hive look worn?
Barely. At this grade the finish shows only light edge wear on close inspection, and the honeycomb lattice stays well defined across the body. To most eyes a Minimal Wear copy passes for the top grade, which is why it's such a popular condition — you keep nearly the full look for a step down in price.
Is Minimal Wear the best value grade?
For many buyers, yes. It costs less than Factory New but keeps the hive pattern looking sharp, so the visual gap is small. Field-Tested and Well-Worn are cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind more visible scuffing on the surface.
What update added the Electric Hive?
It came with the Winter Offensive update in December 2013, bundled into the eSports 2013 Winter Case. That makes it one of the older AWP finishes in the game, from a period when hydrographic patterns like this hexagon honeycomb were more common than the loud full-coverage art seen on later AWPs.
