AWP | Gungnir (Factory New)

AWP | Gungnir (Factory New)

The AWP | Gungnir (Factory New) is a Covert sniper skin and one of the most coveted grails in all of CS2 — a pearlescent blue-and-ivory finish that carries Odin's spear down the length of the rifle. Factory New is the top grade, the most vivid and most valuable way to own a skin that already sits at the very peak of the AWP market.

Design

Gungnir turns the AWP into a piece of Norse mythology — a custom-painted body in pearlescent blue and ivory, washed with cyan and white, with Odin's legendary spear tracing its way down the weapon. It's a Valve in-house design, and it carries a fitting line of flavor text: "A weapon for the Allfather."

AWP | Gungnir (Factory New) Float and Wear

The finish caps at a 0.60 float, but Factory New copies live at the far end of the scale, under 0.07. Here the pearlescent surface reads at its most saturated — the blues, cyans and ivory whites all rendering with full depth and the spear detail razor-sharp. For a grail this prized, collectors overwhelmingly chase the Factory New grade, and its scarcity at this condition pushes it to the top of the ladder.

AWP | Gungnir Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red tier, the top of the standard weapon grades and the rarest color you can pull outside of knives and gloves. On a skin as sought-after as this one, that scarcity is a big part of the story behind its value.

AWP | Gungnir Case and Collection

Gungnir belongs to The Norse Collection, introduced with Operation Shattered Web in November 2019. It doesn't come from a weapon case — the Norse Collection finishes were earned through Shattered Web drops and can be worked toward with trade-ups rather than unboxed. Covert is the rarest standard grade, so genuine copies are extremely scarce, and with the operation long finished the supply is fixed — nearly every one now changes hands on the market.

AWP | Gungnir Patterns

Gungnir has no random pattern variation — the spear motif and its blue-and-ivory wash sit identically on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue gem to chase. Wear and float are the only things that set one example apart from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's no StatTrak version. StatTrak counters are seeded into weapon-case drops, and since this finish comes from a collection with no associated case, none was ever issued. There's no Souvenir version either — Souvenir weapons appear only in Major-tournament souvenir packages, and Gungnir has never been part of a Major drop.

AWP | Gungnir Price

Factory New sits at the very top of the price ladder — the most expensive grade of a finish that is already firmly grail-tier, in four-figure-and-beyond territory among the priciest AWP skins in the game. This is a trophy piece rather than an everyday buy. It's available on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Why is the Factory New Gungnir so expensive?

Two things stack up. It's a Covert from a finished operation, so supply is tiny and fixed, and Factory New is the most desirable grade of an already legendary AWP finish. Add strong collector demand and the result is a grail that trades in four-figure-plus territory, well above almost every other AWP on the market.

Which gloves go with Gungnir?

Its cool pearlescent palette calls for a matching loadout, so blue, cyan or icy-white gloves land best — a frosted or blue-toned pair echoes the finish, while pale ivory wraps keep the clean, mythic look. Steer clear of warm reds and oranges; they fight the skin's blue-and-white theme rather than complement it.

Is there a StatTrak Factory New Gungnir?

No. Because Gungnir was distributed through a collection rather than a weapon case, no StatTrak counter was ever produced for it, in Factory New or any other grade. If you see a listing advertised as StatTrak, treat it with suspicion — the standard version is the only one that exists.
