AWP | Gungnir (Minimal Wear)

AWP | Gungnir (Minimal Wear)

The AWP | Gungnir (Minimal Wear) is a Covert sniper skin — a pearlescent blue-and-ivory finish with Odin's spear running down the rifle, and one of the most prized grails in CS2. Minimal Wear sits just below Factory New, keeping nearly all of the finish's depth for a step down from top-grade money.

Design

Gungnir dresses the AWP in Norse mythology — a custom-painted body of pearlescent blue and ivory, awash in cyan and white, with Odin's fabled spear running the length of the weapon. The design is Valve's own in-house work, and it comes with a fitting line of flavor text: "A weapon for the Allfather."

AWP | Gungnir (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

At Minimal Wear the skin picks up only the faintest edge wear, and the pearlescent surface still reads rich and colorful to the eye. The spear and the blue-to-ivory gradient come through with almost all of the Factory New impact, which makes this the grade many buyers settle on when the very top condition is out of reach. It looks the part on the server and holds strong collector appeal.

AWP | Gungnir Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red tier at the top of the standard weapon grades, and the rarest color you can pull short of knives and gloves. For a skin this sought-after, that scarcity carries much of the story behind its value.

AWP | Gungnir Case and Collection

Gungnir is a finish from The Norse Collection, which launched with Operation Shattered Web in November 2019. No weapon case produces it — the Norse Collection skins were earned via Shattered Web drops and can be built toward through trade-ups instead of being unboxed. Since Covert is the rarest standard grade, real copies are extremely scarce, and with the operation long since closed the supply is fixed, so almost every one now trades on the market.

AWP | Gungnir Patterns

There's no random pattern variation on Gungnir — the spear motif and its blue-and-ivory wash land identically on each copy, leaving no paint seed or blue gem to chase. The only things separating one example from the next are wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak version doesn't exist. StatTrak counters are baked into weapon-case drops, and because this finish stems from a collection with no case attached, one was never issued. Nor is there a Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons turn up only in Major-tournament souvenir packages, and Gungnir has never featured in a Major drop.

AWP | Gungnir Price

Minimal Wear sits one rung below Factory New on the ladder, still deep in grail-tier territory but a meaningful saving on the top grade. For buyers who want a near-flawless look without paying the Factory New premium, it's the sensible entry into one of the most expensive AWP finishes in the game. It's available on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Minimal Wear worth it over Factory New?

For most collectors, yes. Minimal Wear keeps almost all of the finish's color and detail while costing a clear step less than the top grade. Factory New is the ultimate trophy and commands a premium to match, but a Minimal Wear copy looks superb in-game and puts this grail within closer reach.

How rare is the Gungnir at any wear?

Very. It's a Covert from The Norse Collection, an operation drop pool that closed years ago, so no fresh copies enter the game. Every grade is scarce, and demand for such an iconic AWP finish far outstrips the fixed supply — which is exactly why it holds grail status across the board.

Does Minimal Wear show much wear?

Barely. Expect only light wear on the sharpest edges, with the body of the skin still rendering the pearlescent blues and ivory whites in full. To the naked eye a Minimal Wear copy is close to indistinguishable from Factory New during a match, which is a big part of its appeal.
