AWP | LongDog (Well-Worn)

AWP | LongDog (Well-Worn)

The AWP | LongDog (Well-Worn) is a Covert sniper skin showing the Train map's elongated dachshund graffiti over a tan and brown body, here in a more battle-worn state. It's a cheaper route into the Covert long dog finish, with wear the earthy base still partly softens.

Design

The finish takes the LongDog graffiti seen on the Train map — a hilariously stretched dachshund cartoon — and Valve painted it across the rifle in warm tan and brown shades. It began not as a community piece but as an in-house take on one of the map's running jokes, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "The greatest dog to have ever lived is the one waiting for you at home."

AWP | LongDog (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

At Well-Worn the finish shows clear scuffing and paint loss across the frame and high-contact edges, where the tan surface thins out. The long dog cartoon still holds as the anchor that keeps the skin recognizable, but there's no hiding that this is a worn grade. For players who care more about price than a spotless surface, it delivers the Covert look for a good deal less.

AWP | LongDog Rarity

Rarity: Covert, the red tier — the highest of the standard weapon rarity grades. That puts this AWP finish in the most exclusive slot on the ladder, and among the rarer grades to unbox or pull.

AWP | LongDog Case and Collection

Part of The Train 2025 Collection, this finish drops from no purchasable weapon case at all. As the collection's Covert it's the scarcest grade on offer — the Covert tier unboxes around 0.64% of the time (a rate the whole tier shares) — and with copies limited to Major Train souvenir packages and trade-ups, the supply is set rather than open-ended.

AWP | LongDog Patterns

This finish has no random pattern variation to speak of: the long dog graffiti sits in the same position on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue-gem to seek out. Only wear and float distinguish one from another — Souvenir copies aside, where affixed tournament stickers can add a premium of their own.

StatTrak & Souvenir

No StatTrak edition was ever made, since StatTrak weapons stem from cases that include a StatTrak variant and this finish didn't ship in one. A Souvenir version does exist, though — because Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and Train served as a Major map, a package such as the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package could hand one out.

AWP | LongDog Price

Well-Worn sits near the bottom of this finish's ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget way into a Covert AWP for players who won't pay the higher-grade premium. It's one of the more affordable routes to the long dog design. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Well-Worn LongDog look?

Noticeably. Expect visible scratches and paint thinning across the frame and edges — more than Field-Tested but short of the heavy battering of Battle-Scarred. The tan base and the stretched dachshund keep it recognizable, so it still reads clearly as the LongDog in-game despite the extra wear on the surface.

Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?

Mainly if price is your priority. Field-Tested looks a fair bit tidier for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers lean that way. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the Covert long dog as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way down to a Battle-Scarred copy.

Does wear damage the long dog artwork?

Not the design itself — the graffiti is printed the same on every copy, so wear only scuffs the surface around it. At Well-Worn the cartoon stays fully readable; you're trading a pristine frame for a lower price, not losing the stretched dachshund that makes the skin what it is.
